Third Place Pizzeria — Restaurant in Castleton

Usually not the person to leave a review, I had just ordered food through the phone and i had thought my phone was having issues with them hearing me, so I call someone else and they say they can hear me completely fine… so I call back and they say they can hear me better. Then I try and order food and every single time anything had to do with either my card number or phone number, I would get told “I can’t hear you”, while I’m screaming in my phone and I hear people on the phone laughing at me. Then during me telling my card number they had to let me go for minute which is very suspicious to me. I order here pretty often and usually a lot of food especially when I have events going on. I WILL NOT be ordering again, if you are being disrespectful to me while I’m simply trying to get good food from what I thought was a good restaurant then I don’t care if it’s the greatest food ever because the service shouldn’t be this bad and the workers shouldn’t treat customers like that. Clean establishment in a convenient location for Castleton University students. The pizza was excellent, although rather greasy. My party got a large Vermonter pizza to try, which was very flavorful and delicious, until I noticed a pool of grease forming on my plate. Pizza aside, we got a side of fries which arrived very late, and we're very over cooked and cold. I realize a pizza place shouldn't be known for their fries, but these were downright disappointing. Lastly, the service was also pretty weak, as our waitress didn't bring us plates, napkins, or silverware for our food, and never checked in with us except to pick up the check. My husband and I went there at 930 PM (granted they close 10 PM). We wanted to sit and eat, but felt pressured to take-out. Ordered a pizza to go. Got back to campsite (rained out at dinner time bad) to discover bottom black-burned, so scraped off tops with fork to eat. So tired at that point we didn't think to take a photo.
