Well... One could say it's a little spendy if one were inclined to be critical.
I personally don't share that opinion, given the "bang for the buck". My favorite meal there is the classic Italian sub. The footlong is 10$, and I can't finish it. The 6" easily holds me over from lunch till a light dinner at around 7pm and costs 8$.
They are very consistent, I've eaten there numerous times and my sandwich is always the same. I've dealt with numerous people at the cash register and they're unfailingly polite, friendly and efficient. I'm always smiling by the time they hand me my change.
I usually phone in my orders so I don't have to wait, and I'll definitely say that when they give you an eta, they mean it. They're not just throwing a number at you. They usually tell me 10, sometimes 15 minutes (25 once when I called during lunch rush) and the only time I've had to wait is when I show up a few minutes early. I've never had to wait when I showed up after the eta.
The decor has changed with the new owners since I started eating there (back when it was Sharon's pizza) and I like it. It's really well designed with deceptively ample seating for such a small restaurant. It's always clean, and there are a ton of interesting visuals and carefully crafted detail. I actually spend more time taking in the environment than I do fiddling with my phone on the rare occasions I've had to wait.
So yeah. It costs more than Subway. But eat at subway today, then order the same thing at The Pizza Mill tomorrow. I'd be willing to bet you'll go back to The Pizza Mill before you go back to Subway. Especially if you dine in.
I've (ironically) never tried their pizza, but if the menu items that aren't on the marquis are any sort of indicator, I'd have very high expectations where the pizza...
Read moreI've eaten here twice since the new owners took over. It seems like they lack basic organizational and timing skills. The first time I did a call in order for a two sandwiches. I was told they would be ready in 20 minutes, showed up in 20 minutes and had to wait another 15 for my food. They were not busy at the time I went. The second time I ordered, in person, a pepperoni pizza. I was again told 20 minutes. I went outside and walked around and came back in 20 minutes and patiently waited, they were busy and was ok waiting a little longer than expected. When I came back in I noted the finished pizzas they leave on top of their ovens waiting for customer pickups. 25 minutes later they hand me one of the boxes that had been sitting there since I came back after the original 20 minutes. 45 minutes for a luke warm pizza that I had to reheat when I got home. I don't think I'll be...
Read moreVery clean, quaint, small town business that could very likely hold their own in a large city. The "& More" part of their name is very true. In addition to a fantastic pizza you can also get salads, sandwiches and other, more interesting fare.
The food is plentiful compared to the prices, the pizzas are great and they get them out to you fast. I've not experienced a single employee (or the owners) ever treating anyone as less than a long-lost friend, and they're all very attentive.
Their lunch specials can be somewhat eclectic, but if you're an adventurous sort, you won't regret it. My personal favorite was "Salmon Fritters" which sounds hideous to me, but tasted wonderful.
It was actually a daily adventure for me for a long time, I'd just go in and order "the special" without looking to see what it was, and I was never...
