Bravo Salt & Tomato …it’s been a long time coming and it’s clear that you’ve put a great deal of thought into what to offer and how to present it.. in this small community you cannot be everything to everybody and there is always going to be plenty of chatter. As for me, my husband and I loved our experience . It was a dazzling, late afternoon on a Sunday so the river sparkled and the stylish, contemporary space was roomy and casually glamorous.. And… it is right here in our charming marina in rural SW WA.. for now, we are still a hidden gem. We knew the food was served family style and even that has a special appeal .. Sharing food is refreshing ! The focaccia was golden and crisp outside and fluffy inside..7 decent sized yummy meatballs with red sauce made a perfect starter and the handmade kale pasta with a light lemony sauce and wild mushrooms was perfectly cooked, the bright crunch of microgreens on top was delightful . I would’ve liked a little more lemon but that’s just my preference..maybe some preserved lemon would elevate it a touch. Homemade honey gelato and tiramisu were glorious. I had a glass of red wine and it was a generous pour so even though it is a brewery you still have options. The staff is friendly and the service attentive without being pretentious. I want these guys to be successful in the food venture and they are worth traveling for, so turn into Cathlamet and make your way to the marina when you’re heading to the coast or back east toward I-5 ..You’ll remember it fondly and help our small local economy too.

Friendly service, great location, and fresh, delicious food! The pasta is handmade in house, and the steak was so tender that you could cut it with a fork, as if it were butter! Melt in your mouth.. and the soy caramel glaze? Heavenly.

The atmosphere is absolutely wonderful, the service is wonderful and the staff is super friendly. The only the only thing I didn't enjoy was the menu.

While I'm sure many people enjoy pasta dishes, I frankly do not. The menu does change every few months, so I'm not too bothered by this, but it would have been nice to have some other options. The other thing I wasn't a huge fan of is that all the items on the menu are served and priced for two portions, intending that you share them. While this is nice and a good idea, I'm not a huge fan as my fiance enjoys shrimp and prawns which you could add to the dishes, but I myself am severely allergic to them meaning that if she wanted them I'd have to order another item off the menu, which would mean that we'd be paying for four portions of food for two people.

So overall, the food was pretty good. My fiance enjoyed her meal as well as our dessert. But the fact that you HAVE to pay for two portions is rather...

The food is not cheap, therefore you get what you pay for. The dishes are savory, the pasta is cooked to perfection and the desserts are something to dream about. They source their food sustainably and locally, which comes at a price. Please don’t go there thinking you are going to get good food at “bargain pricing” because that doesn’t exist. It is well worth the splurge and I will be back. Someone just posted a review about bland food with no taste and I really have no idea how that’s possible. I had the bucatini with a savory red sauce and house made ricotta which was to DIE for and I tried my friends fettuccine that had kale pasta in a light but flavorful lemon Alfredo sauce,...
