Boomarang Diner - Catoosa — Restaurant in Catoosa

I have been to other Boomarang diners before, but I won't go back to this one. I bragged to my family about how wonderful Boomerang was. I finally got my daughter, son-in-law, and two grandchildren to go with me to boomerang in Catoosa. The food was fabulous. Everything tasted great. The service... Was horrible. After waiting for our food, we finally received our food. One of our items with wrong. We ordered Pickelos Instead, we got fried okra. When I told the server this, she grabbed the basket of okra off of our table tossed it on another table and said okay. I asked her what she was doing with the fried okra, and she just turned it ignored me. Then she came back a minute later and said our Pickelos would be ready shortly. This caused us to have to wait before we could eat part of our order. We all felt she should have at least left the fried okra for us as a courtesy since she got our order wrong. But she didn't. As we were eating and finished some of our unnecessary dishes, I had to ask for them to be removed from our table to make room. As we were finishing up, one of the servers asked if we wanted extra plates or are Fried Pies. We didn't order Fried Pies. There was only us and one other table in the restaurant at the time. At no time during our visit where they're more than 10 people total in the restaurant. So it's not like they were busy or anything. When I paid for our meal, she asked if I wanted a copy of my receipt. I told her I did and that I wanted a copy of the itemized receipt. She forgot the itemized receipt, and rang up another order. Then she had to go back and redo my order just to print out my itemized receipt that I should have had before she did the second order. After she printed out my new receipt, she laid it on the counter and was fiddling around with other receipts and talking to another server. Finally I had to ask if the receipt laying beside of the register was itemized receipt I was waiting for it. All of us in my party tonight agreed that the food was good but the service was horrible. Maybe I'm being too picky, but with no more customers than what they had I feel I should have gotten better service than what we did. Like I said, I have probably been 2 eight or nine other Boomarang diners. This one, was the worst!! Sorry boomerang in Catoosa... But I...

One of the worst dine in experiences I’ve ever had. -service- No one greeted us when we came in and every booth was dirty(only 4 occupied tables including us and 1 person at the bar)- no biggie- our server from the beginning spoke to us like she didn’t want us there, no kindness at all towards us yet was very kind to her other tables. Waited for her to come back for about 15 minutes to ask for a to go box and to go drink (mind you she’s asking her other tables if they would like to go drinks but does not come back to ours and attempts to ask her went ignored.) The other server and I’m assuming someone that works there and was off the clock was giving us weird looks the entire time and saw us trying to get her attention, but didn’t do anything. Watched and listened as she kindly checked other tables out, asking how their meal was and verifying their tickets- yet when i finally gave up waiting for a box and walked up there to pay she again with no kindness skipped straight to only telling me my total. I asked for to go boxes and she handed them to me and that was it. No pleasantries, no customer service. Made me feel so uncomfortable the whole time. -food- I got the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy. The potatoes were great besides being very cold on half of them, there was essentially no gravy for the steak and it was almost impossible to cut it with the butter knife provided, but when I could get a piece cut it would just crumble and the breading was very salty. Still not bad! Onion rings were fine (appetizer) Partner got the fried fish with French fries. The fish and hush puppies were lovely but the fries were not good.

Unfortunately the good parts of the food could not make up for the extremely bad and uncomfortable service received. I’d love to try it again someday with a different shift in hopes of not experiencing that ever again. Bring a sweater! It is VERY...

Food is always great. I guess it's just me. We are always one of only two tables in the place and hardly get waited on. We always have to flag down the waitress for drink refills and had to wait forever on "all you can eat fish" night to get more than one order of fish. She acted surprised when we asked for more and said, 'I'll put your order in' . ... Other tables were just getting more fish all around us! Went for all you can eat fish again. Food was perfect! Pinto beans taste like home cooked, Onion rings nice, crispy, tasty, Fish was larruping and HOT. Service. ... Not us this time but a couple left in a huff after ONLY getting drinks and NO ONE came back to take their food order. 😳 Two of the three wait staff took a break and apparently didn't tell the third waitress. She was just hanging out yakking with a customer when the gentleman came and tossed his money for the drinks at her, chewed her out and huffed out behind his angry wife. She apologized, but it was way too late. 6:00 Dinner time is NOT break time for TWO wait staff, especially if they don't take care of customers FIRST. Once again, FOOD IS UNSURPASSED. When you finally get waited on. And they were very attentive and kept our glasses full but we DID have to wait for our second helping of Fish again.
