El Nuevo Rancho — Restaurant in Cayey

I dont rate often but with all the choices in the area I thought this may help. We tried 2 or 3 places and this was the best pork we ate. The staff was friendly and patient with a couple of guys from VA and NC looking for great roasted pork. Whole hog is hard to get right - the flavoring is often lacking and meat dry but this was flavorful and moist. The experience was great... mostly locals but a few tourists at noon on a Sunday. On good friday 2015 there was only a couple lecheneros open and El Nuevo Rancho happened to be the one we stopped at.
