Veracruz Cafe - Cedar Hill — Restaurant in Cedar Hill

Went on October 18th 2020 my bill was $33.34. left tip in cash on table. Check my bank account and they charged $38.34. they charged my card after I left the $38.34 I did not authorize them to run my card for the $38.34. I understand it's $5 but that's my $5 not there $5 I called up there and the manager that I spoke to said mistakes happen. That to me is unacceptable. You don't make mistakes when you are running people's cards. I have contacted my bank and will dispute the charge because I did not give them permission to run my card for $38.34 I gave them permission to run my card for $33.34. I have the receipt for the $33.34. I just suggest when eating there keep a very close look on your debit cards and make sure you're being charged what you're supposed to be charged. Cuz like I said that to me is theft. Food was good service was awful. Think they need to retrain their staff on proper ways of getting the glasses off the table to fill them. A waiter or waitress should never grab your glass over your plate or over you. They are always to go on the side of you to get your glass to fill it. Service was really bad that night. And then I find that they took more money out of my account than they were supposed to. I'm not happy and I will not stop till this is resolved. Waitresses name is j a r e l l y. and not sure who the chip and salsa and drink girl was but she did not look happy to be working and it was like it was inconvenience for her to have to get more chips and more hot sauce and drinks. I have come here very often have even brought friends and family here as we love the food and drinks. My experience has always been great. However, after what I’ve experienced recently I will never go back and I’m most definitely spreading the word to any and everyone that I know. 1. The prices on the menu are not what you are charged on your bill is it is 3$+ more than what’s listed. But the final straw for me was being overcharged on my bank account more than what was on my ticket. When my card was first charged it was charged for the correct amount which was 58.82 , which included the tip, I woke up last night to a new amount of 64.82$ which leads me to the server we had Sergio , increased his own tip without my knowledge or approval. That is stealing. When I called I was told to come back up there in order to get my refund. No sorry’s were given either. I checked around with other people went out with me as well he also overcharged their accounts as well with an increased tip amount.
