Authentic German Delights and Friendly Atmosphere - A Gem in Cedar Springs!
I recently visited Cedar Springs Brewing Company in Cedar Springs, Michigan, and I must say it was an absolute delight! As a german this Brauhaus all my expectations for a brauhaus in Germany. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed evening out. A lot of wood, flags and german memorabilia.
The self-service concept at Cedar Springs Brewing Company made it incredibly easy and fast to find seating and order food. No long waits or complicated processes here! The staff at the bar were friendly, offering recommendations and making sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit.
Cedar Springs Brewing Company has truly mastered the art of brewing German-style beers. Each glass transported me to a Biergarten in Germany. The quality and taste were on par with the good German brews I've had. Prost!
Now, let's dive into the food. We started with their famous big Brezel, and it was the perfect appetizer. The soft pretzel paired with their homemade mustard was a match made in heaven, even though it took me a moment to adjust to the tangy kick. For the main course, I opted for the daily schnitzel, and I was not disappointed. The breading was crispy and flavorful, creating a satisfying crunch with every bite. The addition of pepperoni was an interesting twist, not overpowering but added a subtle touch of spice. And let's not forget the poutine - a wild concept for a German-style Brauhaus, but surprisingly delicious!
Overall, I recommend Cedar Springs Brewing Company to anyone looking for an authentic German dining experience in the Midwest. From the friendly service to the good beer and delectable food, this place is a true gem. Don't miss out on this hidden treasure in Cedar...
Read moreSo a friend of mine and myself went to this establishment this week to cat some lunch after a hectic day As we entered the restaurant the bartender behind the counter asked if we had a mask. We stated that we did not and before we can even say that we'll go out to the car and get it. She yelled loudly that I'm not going to serve you then.
She said it so loudly that it captures the attention of the other 10 people that were in the restaurant. As a matter of fact a couple of the other ladies said man what's her problem
So we go back out on the car come back into the restaurant and as soon as we walked in the door. She looks up Adas turns away and walks to the back somewhere and never came back out. So we sat for a. Of 10 to 15 minutes waiting on a hostess.
Another couple that was sitting nearby informed us that the hostess this do not come to your table you have to go to the counter. She's seen us go to the counter but still would not come back out. Finally another young lady and black hair come out and took our order
As a proud United States citizen and a former war veteran that just got back into the country 2 days prior. I was shocked at her lack of professionalism and she represented your establishment badly After sharing this with a local veterans group that I am with. We will not visit your establishment again and I'm pretty sure you will not missed the 50 members that come in there on a regular basis. I understand that the masks are a pain to everyone. But that does not excuse bad behavior in your establishment. As of matter of fact a couple of the other patrons said that they're not coming back anymore. And a six-year-old girl told her mom that that lady behind the counter was rude.

We sat in a booth and waited and waited...no waitress...finally saw someone at the bar and walked up to her to ask if we could order, she said we had to order at the bar. I went back to get my sister, came up to the bar and she was gone. We had been sitting for quite some time so to come back up to order and find her gone was irratating. It was a week day, so only 3 other people there, not busy. We decided to leave. We were hungry and disappointed. On the way out. A woman stopped us to see if she could help, we told her what happened and she explained that how to order and that there are signs everywhere...pointing to a group of like 25 signs? I never saw a sign then or when we came in, or on the menu. I guess when you've never eaten there and you come in, noone greeting you, and you sit down at a table with menes, you expect the waitress to come to you? My suggestion would be for obvious table tents, directing how to order as this seems to be a bit of a theme. Not everyone is coming in knowing what to do...also, we had had 5 very long days of cleaning out our fathers home, who passed this past Saturday, we just wanted to sit down and have a meal..not everyone is thinking cleary you know? We felt like the 2nd woman was a bit condescending, like we should have seen the signs instead of empathizing with our frustration and offering to take our order right then. She just said the other woman would be right back.... So, we left and chances are, I won't go back. We went to the Little Red Bird...
