I went by Krystal’s today and I just asked for a straw. Usually, restaurants will just give you one because there’s no hassle in giving it and it costs little to nothing. The lady straight out told me no and at first, I thought she was being sarcastic or joking so I nervously said “are you sure?😅🥲” and she repeated her self, “no.” So I just politely said “oh, okay” and drove away. as I did, three employees were staring at me through the drive through window giving me some type of disgusted look as if I did something wrong or said something offensive. And it’s not like I was taking up their time because the restaurant was dead and so was the drive through. Later, I called and politely questioned why I couldn’t simply get a straw and they were very hostile with their answers and said that it’s because they cost money and they have to keep up with the Inventory and because I’m not buying anything, I can’t get a straw. Because I was still upset and borderline crying because of how they reacted to me, I just said “oh well I didn’t know, thank you🥲.” Now that I’ve had time to think about it, I stand with my case, they were still rude about it and hostile towards me. They never informed me on why I couldn’t just get a straw and was very blunt and short with me. I think they were making up excuse's to just not be nice because it was just a straw🫠. Moreover, it wasn’t the fact I couldn’t get a straw, don’t get me wrong, it’s the fact that they made me feel as though I was in the wrong for even asking. People say it never hurts to ask… apparently it does 🙄. I didn’t argue and I’m always nice when I make requests because I know how irritating customer service can be but I still don’t understand why they...
Read moreEDIT I'm changing my rating from one star to four stars because the district manager actually called me about my review. He stated that he was not happy with the food handling practices and would be pulling video footage. He apologized and stated that what I saw was not acceptable and he would be further handling the situation. He also offered a replacement meal.
The buns on the Krystals were either very old or had been on the steamer way too long because the entire top layer of bread was peeling away. I also saw the cashier stuffing fries in the paper envelopes with his bare fingers. Maybe he washed his hands, maybe he didn't....I don't know. What I do know is that they have a utensil specifically for that job so that you don't have to put your bare hands all over...
Read moreI went through the drive thru for my Krystal fix. As soon as I got to the ordering menu I was greeted by a lady that was super nice and friendly. She did not rush me or cut me off while I was placing my order. I proceeded to the window to make my payment. The same lady that took my order was there to collect my payment. She was smiling and super friendly there too. As soon as she handed me my card and receipt, she was handing me drinks and straws. I no more placed the drinks in the cup holders and she was handing my meal. The food was fresh, tasty and prepared correctly! I am thankful I chose to go to Krystal’s and received the perfect level of customer service that anyone could ever want!...
