Friday evening 9pm, bar was standing room only dining room only 1 table occupied besides ours. Servers very attentive, ordered side salad and 2 wing 6 piece snack packs since this is the only way to order them if u don't want fries. Sirachi Lime and Hot n' Sloppy flavors were both good, there are a ton to choose from. The side salad arrived immediately presented with a bed of iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, olives, pepperoncinis, cucumber, red onion, egg, and cheese for 3.29 (was quite the salad for a starter). The wings and spinach pie arrived before I even got to take a bite of my salad which told me either the chef had ESP or they've been sitting premade in a warmer. Although I appreciated the very fast service the wings have got to be made to order and presented right out of the cooker to be the best they can be. Luke warm wings just don't get it and I almost sent them back to be warmed up but I let it go. The spinach pie was said to be good but not the best she has had and was also obviously made ahead of time which is expected with this type of dish, no complaints on the temperature or texture on this dish. The bill was under $20.00 (we did not get any drinks) which was reasonable for a dozen wings, salad, and spinach pie. Yes we will return mainly because the menu is extensive, the service was outstanding, & atmosphere was good, the food could have been better and I'm sure It was just a...
Read moreWe’ve been coming here and enjoying the atmosphere and delicious food for many years. There’s plenty of inside seating although deceiving from the road. They always have excellent music and their homemade dressings are amazing. More recently we’ve had to order as takeout due to a family situation and unfortunately the quantity and service has been less than desirable. We’ve had to get creative when getting the one bartender’s attention to take our takeout order in between being on her phone. Our last couple of takeouts have items missing that we ordered extra and paid for but didn’t know were missing until we got home and looked through bag (fries, extra dressing, extra pita). The quantity of toppings on our main salads have been very light or missing all together which never has happened when we’ve dined in. If you take into consideration of paying $24 with tax/tip for the Gyro salad & you don’t get the taziki dressing/fries/pita bread/imported olives/ feta cheese it’s a disservice and disappointment! Overall, it’s a good flavored local restaurant just not impressed with the takeout or...
Read moreWe tried Papa Duke's at the food truck festival last weekend and my wife loved it so much I only got a couple bites of the gyro she got. It was a very stuffed gyro with great flavor and the house made cucumber sauce was very tasty. The couple bites I had of it made me want to try one for myself so I came here for lunch today.
I was afraid that the food truck may have been "over-stuffed" to bring business to the restaurant and that I would be let down. I was most definitely not. It was just as stuffed and just as delicious. I also got the red pepper hummus appetizer with the pita chips. The pita chips weren't really chips but much better than chips would have been. They were pita bread cut into triangles like chips and lightly baked or toasted just enough to give it a crisper outside while the inside was still soft. Will...
