Fountain City Grille — Restaurant in Central Township

I can't believe the way the server acted towards thecustomers today. Walking in the place only had a few tables with people. My husband and I made eye contact with the server and asked if it was ok we sit at the booth on the left she very rudely said after a pause yea I guess so we sat down.I already could since the attitude with this server she walked over and grabbed the sign and moved it even closer to the door.The sign says please wait to be seated not even a minute later an older couple didn't see the sign they walked right in a sat down the server very loudly says what is the sign irrelevant. She comes to our table and with all that attitude asked what we wanted to drink she mumbles walking by the older couple saying the sign says wait to be seated. She brings our coffee passing them again still ignoring them. As she's now taking our order she yells at them I don't care about your tip the sign says wait to be seated. They got up and walked out. At this point I didn't want to stay but we had our newborn and we were both hungry and didn't want to have to drive to DeSoto . The whole time she was just nasty and rude. I'm a server myself and no way would I treat my customers the way she was I can't believe this is her job. The older couple didn't deserve to be treated that way and neither did we. I heard her talking to her boss about them walking out and he was saying we don't need them we don't play that here. No wonder there were only a couple tables full of guys drinking coffee at 10am. Went in for breakfast, or so we thought. After telling the server we've never eaten there, she gave a while to look at the menu and came to take our order. We both asked for breakfast dishes and were told it's lunchtime. The menu didn't reflect hours for breakfast foods that i can recall. The "chef" parks right at the door and the parking lot was icy. Most places have employees park away so customers can have better parking. The food was good. The place was clean. The manager was kind of a jerk. He came out to the dining area and was speaking to people in a way that was unacceptable, in my opinion. My group was the only customers in when we ordered, and within about 15 minutes, another small group was there and an older couple. Rap music was playing and very distracting. They have some rude signage ( for an establishment dependent on customers ) hanging behind the counter. The portions were ok, but the pricing would suggest that they were...

The food here is typically very good and at a good price. The server however it terrible. She has a trashy mouth and ignorant attitude. Wasn't just today either. She always has a bad attitude and mumbles loud enough to make sure you can hear that you are a huge inconvenience to her. Walked in today and all the tables were either occupied or hadn't been cleaned yet. No big deal. She started cleaning off a table but we prefer a booth with our kids. I smiled and said we can wait no problem. She proceeded to run her gutter mouth about us and our choice in tables. I immediately told my family let's go somewhere else. She responded by saying more ignorant things about us leaving. I feel bad for the owner because he is losing money but she has no business being in customer service anywhere.
