Alright here we have it. As I made my way down to central, this is my next spot. As I've said before. I am a new food critic. I give nothing but my honesty here folks. Start by going in and I was a little confused as to why this was a burger place with hibachi as well, but who am I to care right. Ordered the wings deal and got water. I sat down and took a few for my water to get out. Realized there are only 2 people running the restaurant, and was mind blown that someone thinks they can run it with just 2. And I was right cause my food took a while to come out. Refills were hard to get. Which is fine I don't drink much anyway. When I got my food it was hot and fresh. I enjoyed the fries as they were fresh cut. The ranch was supposed to be home made. But it tasted like a doctored up great value ranch. I heard there was a double dipped wing, which I got. All they do is cook the wings most of the way, sauce them, and throw them back in the fryer to cook the rest of the way. They were good, but nothing too special. I really enjoyed how big they were tho. That was awesome. The 2 what I assume are owners were the only 2 working. The woman was rude and seemed as though I was an inconvenience to her by coming in. And the man stayed sitting with another person the whole time and from what I heard seemed to be talking about old customers he has had. So be careful or you might get talked about. Service wasn't great. And if you don't spend a lot of money you prolly won't feel very welcomed. Food was decent, service was terrible, and the atmosphere was very unwelcoming. The way they have the walls and everything decorated you can tell they love Clemson tigers. But overall the wings are decent. And I will be back to try the hibachi, as long as I can tell myself I'm gonna be ok to deal with the...
Read moreStopped in on a Saturday night. Only one other couple in the shop, so we had our pick of tables or the counter.
Order at the front, from the menu posted above (like McDonald's). Both of my 1st two choices were a no-go because they hadn't made something "yet". Since it was Saturday evening I wonder when they would be making the items?
Pulled pork was terrific, with slaw and pickle on the sandwich (but no bbq sauce). Surprised at how yummy it was! The owner, also our server, explained how he slow-roasted the meat for 12+ hours. Whatever the secret, it was great.
Fries were skinny, with skins left on. Just ok, not special. Hubby had a chicken sandwich, again, just ok, nothing special.
Long conversation with the server/owner about lack of employee loyalty as an explanation of the slow service. Apparently some employees left for sign-on bonuses elsewhere. Now it's the owner and wife managing everything on their own. If you want to support a local mom & pop business, this could...
Read moreI’ve never posted a review but I felt like this was necessary. Was super excited about my Hibachi until I went to pick up my order and saw that an employee was in the back picking up the frozen fries with his bare hands. Yes they were going to be cooked, but to my disgusted surprise, when he came to the front, his hands looked like he was just out back planting a garden.
To add a cherry on top, when I arrived home to heat up my food, my hibachi chicken was half full and the shrimp sauce appeared to have been thickened by something and had the consistency of gravy. The only thing that looked appetizing were my egg rolls.
Disappointed in this Ardens for lack of sanitary practices, especially during this time with COVID 19, and the lack of presentation with the food. I paid $12 for a $5 experience. Customer service was...
