F. C. Weiss Pub and Eatery — Restaurant in Centre

They do sandwiches exclusively. If you're hoping for actual pub fare or anything remotely English or Irish, you're out of luck. Entirely. The place has great atmosphere. The food is ok. Ish. But entirely too expensive. And not very satisfying.

The staff was dealing with some sort of crisis when I visited. So they were doing their best to be prompt and courteous. The beer selection seems extensive but they were unable to serve any of it that night. I cannot fault them for bad luck.

I want this place to succeed. I think the prices and food selection issues are all related to limited resources. So even though it isn't as great as it could be, I'd suggest locals to be good patrons. Because if equipment and other matters can be resolved, I suspect they will reinvest in more options. It feels bad panning them because I get the sense they are doing remarkably well under their circumstances.

But as for right now? I'd suggest going there for a pint and a chat with friends but not for a serious meal. And leave any Irish relatives with expectations of a pub and it's...

Atmosphere is great. Server was attentive but seemed to be on shift alone so there was a little extra waiting. The food was nothing special. The Reuben was filled with extremely fatty meat with only a small amount of sauerkraut. The ratio between meat and sauerkraut was off so it didn't taste like a traditional Reuben. However, the rye bread was amazingly delicious and toasted perfectly. The pretzels and beer cheese appetizer was also disappointing. Fantastic place, definitely a local pub. Service was wonderful, food arrived amazing fast. Great selection of beverages including local craft beer. HIGHLY recommend visiting! Loved the Hot Cuban Sandwich and the Weiss Weiss Baby Orange Blossom Brewing Co. was excellent!
