El Comal Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Centreville

Came into town for a family weekend, and, while the food was great, the service was terrible! We were a party of two and only order 2 margaritas, guacamole, and fajita entrees. The restaurant was basically empty. The waiter seemed impatient from beginning to end and even stomped his foot and walked away when we were asking for to-go plates. He did not refill my water until I asked. We were there for all of 45 minutes.

I’d previously heard of other complaints on the establishment as the years progress but experienced it firsthand tonight. I understand why people are transitioning back to another local establishment. I won’t be returning!

I have yet to find a Mexican restaurant with better salsa than this one. If the question is Mexican food this restaurant is my answer every time. The margaritas are sooooo good. The watermelon one with fresh watermelon is DELICIOUS. I’ve gotten one so often the owner will tell me if the watermelon is fresh or not when he sees me coming in lol. We told the hostess 3 plus a highchair. They seated for 2 and a highchair. We asked for another menu and silverware and the waiter goes as if to get another menu and silverware. Never seen again. We get up and let the hostess know we are leaving due to no service. He asks me, "Where is the waiter?".... Told him it was his responsibility not mine to keep up...
