We had the WORST experience this last Saturday on February 26th! We got there at 9:30pm and they close at 10:00pm. We've been there around this time before and never had an issue mind you. Anyway, when we walked in and sat down one of the two waitresses looked at her watch then looked at us and gave us the rudest look. The other waitress then walked over to our table and we asked if it was okay that we were there since her other employee seemed mad and she told us yes, as long as we order in the next 5-10 minutes. We ordered and ate pretty fast, then as we were leaving the one girl who gave us the mean stare was at the front counter so I told her she should probably not make customers feel so uncomfortable by giving such mean looks and if they weren't wanting customers then she should go about it in a more professional and respectful way. She then decided to give me the WORST attitude EVER! She was extremely rude and when I asked for her name and the manager she refused. I walked to the bar area to try to find out her name and she yelled out to security to kick me out. Not one employee would tell me her name and I ended up having the bar tender lady go off on me too because she wanted to stick up for her friend. They tried belittling me in front of my children and would not stop with their extremely rude attitudes. We have been going to Hot Rod Diner for quite a while and NEVER have I experienced such a horrible interaction. I have always loved the waitresses at this place but there have been a lot of new employees and I will not be coming back after this. It's extremely disappointing because my kids loved this restaurant. I wish I could tell you what waitresses to steer clear from but they refused to give me their names. They are both petite young girls with dark black hair. One works in the restaurant and one in the bar. The one in the restaurant was the main one with the attitude. She should not have a job after treating customers like that in my opinion. I've worked in restaurants for many years and I was just horrified how she reacted. I would have been fired if I had ever spoke that way...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Hot Rod Diner, and I must say, it was an absolute delight. The standout feature of my visit was the amazing waitress, Julia. Her kindness and infectious smile made me feel welcomed and valued as a guest.
The food at Hot Rod Diner was nothing short of spectacular. I opted for the Angus steak, and it was cooked to perfection. Each bite was tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The accompanying hash browns, eggs, and toast were equally impressive. The hash browns were delightfully crispy on the outside, while the eggs were cooked to perfection with a velvety yolk. The toast was lightly toasted and buttered, adding the perfect touch to the meal.
To complete my dining experience, I indulged in their wonderful hot cocoa. It was a true treat for the senses, with a rich and velvety texture that warmed my soul. Sipping on this delightful beverage was the perfect way to end my meal.
The ambiance of Hot Rod Diner was also worth mentioning. The vintage decor and classic car-themed atmosphere added a unique and nostalgic touch to the dining experience. It truly felt like stepping back in time and immersing myself in a bygone era.
The service at Hot Rod Diner was exceptional, thanks to the attentive and friendly staff. Julia, in particular, went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of perfect. Her genuine care and attention to detail added an extra layer of enjoyment to my visit.
Overall, Hot Rod Diner is a hidden gem that deserves recognition. From the exceptional service provided by Julia to the mouthwatering food that graces the plates, this establishment is a must-visit. Whether you're in the mood for a perfectly cooked steak or a comforting cup of hot cocoa, Hot Rod Diner delivers on all fronts.
I highly recommend paying a visit to Hot Rod Diner. You won't be disappointed. Trust me, it's worth every...
Read moreThe chicken fried steak is the best I've had in a while. The portions are big and the food is delicious. The wait staff did take a while to come around and even check on us but the food was worth the wait. Definitely a good go-to breakfast place...I wanted to add To my review. This is. A good breakfast place but for lunch and dinner I would not recommend it. The weight staff is even less attentive in the evenings. We got there around eight p m and they did not close until ten p m. But they had all of the tables closed off , except for the front four or five tables. Which more than half of them were dirty. The Weight stuff was more worried about cleaning the empty area , then actually helping us. When they were not cleaning they were standing around talking and not paying attention to our needs. There were 2 children who were playing behind the counter.Who I had to ask for a refill on my drink. My fish-and-chips were definitely overdone. And my fiance could not finish his pork chops because they were so dry. I would rather go next door to denny's and get better service attention and food that is cooked properly. We will definitely not be going back there unless it is for...
