Have never had Popeyes before but have wanted to try it for awhile now. Went after a LONG day at work where I had to work overtime so I didn't get a proper dinner break. Was excited to eat something good that everyone has been hyping up for months. Decided to finally sit in the VERY long drive through line they always have. I was sitting in line for about 20 minutes when an employee came out to tell each car that they only had the original chicken sandwiches and bone in chicken left. I said okay and thank you and continued waiting. When I got up to the speaker I ordered a plain original chicken sandwich. They said all of the sandwiches are pre-made and they would not be making anymore so I couldn't order it plain.
This was very disappointing as I know their sauce has mayo in it and something in mayo always makes my stomach upset so I cannot eat it. Even a little bit does not sit well with me. I asked why the person who came out didn't tell us there also could be no special orders? If I had known that I would have gotten out of the line right then saving myself yet another 20 minutes. And on top of that the tone their voices told me that they did not care at ALL. They were borderline rude about the whole thing.
Look, I understand if they run out of food or can't fulfill a request. That's fine! But I do not understand taking 40 minutes of someones day for nothing. The whole thing put a bad taste in my mouth and I'm very sorry I went. I don't care how good their sandwiches are - nothing is worth that hassle. Plus the food is all pre-made just sitting there at least 30 minutes before you even get it in your car?? Anyways, I left and went to Taco Bell and had food in my car within ten minutes. The employees were so happy and nice. A total 180 from my experience at Popeyes.
Popeyes in Modesto, needs to get their act together. And figure out how to keep their drive through line from constantly being in the way in the parking lot! Seriously, people have to go around the line of cars into the oncoming lane to get through the lot because the cars spill out into the main lane - it's ridiculous! Not only that, but you're losing customers because your line moves SO slowly. I saw two people leave tonight and I have also left on a separate day because I didn't have a half hour+ to wait for food. I have never seen such a mess at a fast food restaurant. Or experienced such blasé attitudes from employees. Very unfortunate Popeyes doesn't seem to have higher standards to match the level of hype...
Read moreI ordered an online Mobil order and the doors to the dine in area were CLOSED so I had to go to the driveway for pickup which is RIDICULOUS!! The whole point of Mobil order The walk-in pick up your food and go not sit here and wait in line behind multiple other cars for an order that’s already ready and getting cold waiting for my arrival at the window. If I wanted to do that I would have just ordered at the window and done drive through and NOT have COLD FOOD waiting on everyone else in line. Nothing is more infuriating than going home and having to reheat ur ENITRE order in the microwave and drinking watered down soda because the ice had already majority melted waiting on them FOREVER to get their food to the people in front of me. On top of that if you’re going to go through the drive-through be prepared to wait forever because that’s how long it takes for them to get your order. When I got up to the window, the lady there didn’t even say hi hello or acknowledge my existence for about the first three minutes. She was too busy taking her sweet time stacking some cups and then when she does acknowledge my existence, she asks what my order is what I just told her in the drive-through and she proceeds to pick up a bag that’s been sitting right there next to the register THE WHOLE TIME when she could have just handed me my food, it would’ve taken one minute and let me be on my way instead of me, sitting there having to watch her stack cups. And perhaps what is most infuriating is that it was not even busy there was two cars ahead of me and one car behind me somehow I still spent 20 minutes waiting for my food. AND THEY DIDN’T EVEN GIVE ME THE FRIES THAT WERE SUPPOSED TO COME WITH MY MEAL, I didn’t realize that until I got home so of coarse I didn’t get food that I paid for. Plus my chicken sandwich only has one single pickle on it….so I only got pickle with my sandwich in two bites. AWFUL...
Read moreThey Will ALWAYS Forget Something!!! Every single time I have ordered from here they forget at least 1 item. I love me some Popeyes which is why I continue to come but I have learned that I have to check everything before I leave to figure out what they forgot this time. Their accuracy and speed could definitely use some work. This last time I ordered though I sent my husband to pick up our food and when he got back we were missing 3 pieces of chicken from an 8 piece meal as well 5 biscuits. We had also ordered a regular side of mashed potatoes and were given the small. That’s a lot of food to be missing but we didn’t have time to go back and tell them so I called to let them know and the person that I talked to told me that he was going to write my name down in a book they have and that I could go pick up the food any time within a month’s time. 5 days later I went to go pick up my food and was told that my name was nowhere in the book and therefore I was not going to be given my food. I had to create a big stink about it with the manager in order to be able to receive my food. I was pregnant at the time and not working so losing out on money was definitely not okay with me. It’s been more than a half a year since this and I have not gone back because even though I love Popeyes, I had such a horrible experience dealing with the managers and I don’t need...
