This place ain’t what it used to be, not even close. Ever since the new owners took over, it’s been nothing but downhill. The booths are ripped up, the carpet looks like it’s been there since the ‘90s and is literally falling apart, and the roof straight up looks dangerous, like it’s one bad storm away from caving in. It’s not just ugly, it’s unsafe — and what really stings is you can tell the owners just don’t care. No pride, no effort, no presence.
My family and I have been coming here since 2012, right when we first moved to Ceres. This was one of those spots we’d hit all the time. Birthdays, casual family dinners, catching up with friends — we got a lot of memories tied to this place. And back then, under Steve? It felt alive. Steve wasn’t just some owner hiding in the back counting money. He was around, he’d greet people, check in, and you could feel he actually cared about keeping things up. He kept the place clean, safe, and welcoming. The little things mattered to him — and because of that, people respected him and supported his business.
Now it’s the complete opposite. The new ownership has basically let everything slide. You don’t see them, you don’t hear from them, you don’t feel like anyone’s paying attention. And the condition of the place proves it. The sharp difference between when Steve ran things and now is unreal. He set a standard, and the current owners tossed it in the trash.
It honestly hurts to see how far this place has fallen. For over a decade, my family’s been loyal customers here. This used to be somewhere we were proud to bring people, now it’s almost embarrassing. If the owners don’t wake up and start showing they care, they’re gonna lose the trust and support of the same community that Steve worked so hard to build and keep together. And once that’s gone, it’s real hard to...
Read moreWhoever owns this store now seriously needs to get it together. The online hours say you’re open until 12am, but when I showed up at 10:30pm, the sign on the door said 10pm and the place was already closed. I wasted my time driving here because of inaccurate information that still hasn’t been updated. If the real hours are 11am-10pm, fix it online so customers stop getting misled.
To be honest, ever since Steve stopped owning this place, it’s gone way downhill. Most of the arcade games are broken, the carpet’s ripping up, the soda machine is constantly leaking some nasty-smelling liquid, the tables have weird stains on them, it seems only register is ever open even though they have two and the entire store just feels neglected. The upkeep is clearly not a priority for whoever owns it now, and it’s really disappointing to see how much the place has declined.
And it’s not just the physical space, it’s also very obvious that the staff is being overworked. Bless their souls, because I remember weekends their used to be 6–8 people working the floor. Now it looks like the new ownership has cut the staff in half, even during the busiest hours. I always see the same 3 people running around trying to keep things together, and you can tell by their demeanor that they’re exhausted and stretched thin. It’s not fair to them, and it’s not fair to your customers either.
And just to be clear, this isn’t on the staff. They’re doing the best they can with what they’ve got. Honestly, they deserve better too.
To the owner, you need to do better. This store used to be a great place to come to, but under the current ownership, it’s falling apart and honestly, I won’t be surprised if it ends up getting sold or shut down...
Read moreI really love MM and have never really had an issue with any of our orders. We arrived a little after 9 knowingly they close at 10 fighting we have time to eat and be out by 10 respectfully. We placed our order and pleasantly waiting the kids asked for ranch the waiter said if it's dine in you're welcome to get from the salad bar on your plate. I had ordered a mug of beer but never received when I placed the order so i asked if I could get it. The waiter said oh she never brought it out to you, I said um no. She served me the mug. As we are waiting for our pizza the employees are cleaning up and put the entire salad bar away. When we received our pizza I headed back up to the counter to ask for ranch, the employee seemed as if we were asking for too much with a slight attitude she asked how many we would like. There were a total of 10 of us so I asked for 8. She looked at me and said 8?! I felt embarrassed so I said ok, how about 6. As we were there trying to eat and get out by 10, the employees were vacuuming around us and it made us feel quite uncomfortable like we were being rushed. As the kids finish and put our garbage away the decided to fill their cups one last time before leaving. One of the employees that was cleaning near the machine stopped cleaning rested her arm on her chin and watched them fill their drinks. I know we only gave them an hour to serve us, us to finish our pizza and be out I just felt very uncomfortable and felt as we were an inconvenience to them. I've worked in customer service my entire life and know how it feels to have people who enter the store around closing time so we tried our best to hurry and be out...
