Ok ,guys here goes another review ... @amorytacos Let me start off by saying "I have been wanting to go here for a while !" First off ..it's located in a shopping center so there is plenty to of parking . You would not expect to walk in to an awesome latino inspired art and decorations that somehow all come together to give it a unique relaxed vibe ..not some uppity place where you feel awkward or rushed .We were give paper manues with awesome descriptions of what they had.as we sat there many plates passed us by ,I saw some freaken delicious looking wet burritos, some green enchiladas and best part, literally sat right behind this awesome woman aventando tortillas , I mean ..what more could you want ?I started off with the drinks .we ordered a flight of their Margaritas ..Mango Amor and Pineapple.. they all came with a.mexican paleta and they were just Bam on point ,not too sweet ..but with the right kick along with the Mule and The Chapo Beware on the menu it says starters we thought small servings..so we ordered some delicious chorizo gorditas and some chicharron When they came they were huge lmao .the Gorditas were packed with the perfect chorizo not too dry or fried or quemado ni too spicy . But just soft ,flavorful chorizo ..it had some sourcream quesito and some thinly slice rabanos ,frijoles negros and I think some salsa verde or guac and some crunchy ,sweet and sour pickled purple onions..🤤🤤🤤honestly I was a fatty and ate it ..but let me tell you the masa of the gordita was fried to perfection crispy on the outside but soft and not too firm on the Inside ,the masa tasted like masa not sour or old or like Maseca lol it was dam goodness. The chicharron was puffed and warm when it came to our table now this isn't the meat carrying, grueso chicharron you get at el super. This was puffy ,thin, crunchy clear browned to perfection chicharon topped with some quesito pickled purple onions (they are delicious 🤤) and tajin, limon but not too much and some oil I may be wrong . I had a few drinks and let me tell you the chicharron was not soggy or tasted viejo when it cooled ,it maintained its crunch. We also had birria tacos...
Read moreWe have been coming here since they first opened. The food has stayed consistently good and so has the service.
Ambiance: this is a really fun vibe. It’s a great place to bring dates or friends. They have a lot of colorful decor and I love the paintings they have up.
Food: The food is good. The chips are nice - you tell it’s freshly made. The salsa that it comes with is flavorful and well seasoned. They also have this amazing habanero salsa, you pay a little extra for it but if you like spicy food I highly recommend it. I do feel it’s a bit disappointing that they charge $5 for chips and salsa. They used to give the first round for free and ask before they brought it so it wasn’t wasted. For appetizers, I recommend the mole tots. Note: if you generally don’t like a mole sauce, you don’t like these. The mole tots are something that I haven’t found anywhere else. The mix of the sauce, crispy tots, cheese, and salsa is delicious. It’s a huge portion size so more of a shareable appetizer. I also like the potato taquitos. They’re not the best I’ve ever had but they are good. The green sauce that it comes with definitely enhances the flavor. I think the filling just needs a bit more seasoning and then it’d be perfect. For entrees, I think their cheese enchiladas are okay. If you don’t eat them immediately when it’s hot, the cheese does congeal within 25 minutes so it’s not the best. I also think their red sauce needs a bit more seasoning. I do recommend the veggie tacos, they are well flavored and I love the fresh tortillas. The wet burrito is nice but they’ve switched over to white rice and I think that takes away from the flavor. I will say that before the switch the wet burrito was my go to entree.
Drinks: they have some great cocktail options. I prefer their margaritas and their draft house beer.
Price: it’s a reasonable priced restaurant. We got 2 drinks, 1 appetizer, and 1 entree per person and it came out to about $50/person.

Read moreThe hostess started seemingly, hospitable. She called us to be seated about 10 minutes early since we were supposed to have a 20 minute wait. She wanted to sit us right next to the bathroom and we asked her somewhere else you didn't want to be near the bathroom. She said okay but you're going to have to wait longer. We responded that's fine since you called us 10 minutes early anyway. She said great still with a smile. Then 10 minutes past in 15 minutes past so I approached her and asked why the delay and notice to empty tables. She responded they were reserved. She was sitting others that came in after us and seem to be intentionally ignoring us at that point. My husband approached her and said how much longer she said about 10 more minutes. At that point she seem to lose her Sparkle as the business got busier. We got lost in the crowd and she pretty much lost interest in getting the seated as well we were about to leave, until for the third time, we approached her when we noticed a table and two which was right next to where she was working. She seem to ignore the fact that the table had vacated. I asked if the empty table was for us or if it was another Reserve table. She said oh yeah, it's for you guys and taking her time got menus and finally after 45 minutes got us seated. That whole part of the experience started to get us wondering if we should just leave since internally none of us were feeling good about it at that point. Luckily the waitress was very friendly and sweet but also very busy. I don't recommend Sunday evenings way, way too loud with music to top it off which normally would be nice but you could hardly hear either the music where the people talking. Sdly it seems Tacos y Amor has gotten a little full of themselves in respect to the way they handle customers. Food was good. Greeter,...
