We’ve been loyal to Tous les Jours for years — from Texas to California — but this Cerritos location stands out. As parents, we keep coming back for birthdays because of one standout reason: the cakes are genuinely less sweet but still full of flavor. The Cloud Cake #3 is our family favorite — light, balanced, and perfect for kids and adults who want a treat without the sugar overload.
But what surprised me most about this location is how well the space is designed. The double-height ceiling and full-height glazed storefront let in generous natural light, creating a clean, open atmosphere that feels more like a curated patisserie than a typical franchise. The lighting — both ambient and display-focused — is well-calibrated, making the desserts pop without feeling overlit or clinical.
The pastry displays are organized with visual hierarchy in mind: cakes are placed on raised platforms, evenly spaced, and not crowded — each one showcased as a centerpiece. There’s a consistent material palette (glass, marble, and warm metallic accents) that keeps the interior feeling cohesive and elevated. Even the layout circulation is intentional, allowing customers to move comfortably while taking in the full product selection.
It’s clear the brand — or at least this franchise owner — has invested in more than just good recipes. There’s a real awareness of how space, lighting, and visual clarity shape the customer experience. That kind of attention to environment makes a difference — especially when choosing something for a special moment like a...
Read moreTous les jours was never my favourite bakery on my list of Korean bakeries, but this is the most uninspiring bread I've had in a long time.
These pastries don't feel like they were made with any love or attention to detail. It's like they were made by on a conveyor belt in a factory.
I mentioned it in the pictures, but the distribution of filling to bread was awful. It felt like I was eating a German Pfannkuchen. But worse, because the bread part wasn't even good. Just by looking at the bread you know it won't taste good and the texture will be boring. And then you eat it and confirm your fears. It doesn't matter which bread you buy- they're all like this. I tried 4 kinds and was let down every single time.
For Korean sweetbreads like these, the bread part should be lightly sweet, fluffy, and a bit chewey. The fillings should be generous and evenly distributed. That's the bare minimum I expect. The filling part of the bread wasn't that bad, but didn't make up for how bad the bread was. The bread is not a filler- it should be the focus, with the filler complementing it.
This is supposed to be their grand/soft opening, but they offer food like this? I feel bad leaving a 1 star review. I'm a reasonable guy, but this place is actually insulting to Koreans, because this ruins our reputation to everyone who's never had bread from a decent Korean bakery. As it is now, I would recommend any other Korean bakery over this one. Don't say I...
Read moreMy first time interacting with this place was when I ordered a cake for my mom’s birthday. They were highly recommended to me by people I know so I was excited to try. When I called to place an order, the staff on the other line did not have good customer service. She did not sound happy to be on the phone or like her job for that matter. When I was placing an order on Friday, I told her it was for Saturday and I simply asked if I could have something written on the cake since it’s my mom’s FIRST BIRTHDAY IN HEAVEN, or since she passed away last year. With absolutely no sympathy, and the rudest tone, she just answered with “no, we can’t. That can only be done if you ordered 48 hours before.” When I asked if she could see about an exception since it would be a really special day for me and my family, I was again met with the same tone, and she didn’t even care to try to ask her supervisor. I asked one last time, and this time I told her it was for my mom’s first birthday in heaven and she answered with again, no sense of customer service in her voice, “the best I can do is a happy birthday sign.” Honestly, if your customer service continues to be this way, I will not be recommending to my family and friends. The cake was good, but not worth the lack of service. If people hate their jobs, they shouldn’t be...
