Iâve gotten this place delivered to me THREE TIMES. I really wanted to give them a chance.
The first time I got it delivered, I got the wrong order which was not their fault at all! And what I ended up getting was actually really good! However I didnât know what it was so I tried to call and ask. I called 4 times on different days and they only answered the last time. The girl I spoke to had no idea what I was talking about and said she doesnât work there much so she isnât familiar with the menu. Thatâs totally okay and I understand but I feel like she should have went and asked someone because she told me the dish I was describing was a Pho and it definitely was not.
The second time I got it delivered I got the pho as she suggested and it was definitely not the dish I was looking for. The pho was completely flavorless and there was barely any of the meat. I got the wagyu and itâs like $22. Definitely not worth it. This was really disappointing as the thing I was mistakingly given the first time was really delicious and flavorful! I want to mention the dish I received by mistake was a soup base that had what looked like meatballs and then a meat strip like pork belly(?) the broth was really savory and flavorful. With it was a box that had mint, red leaf lettuce, and vermicelli noodles. My girlfriend got the scallop fried rice and it was really good.
I just tried to order it for the last time. I got one of the vermicelli soup bowls with the meatball as I hoped this would be the dish I got the first time. It was not. It was again a flavorless broth with several different colored balls of meat and only one chunk of beef. None of the meat was seasoned either so it was a flavorless soup. Not to mention this time the soup was not properly sealed so it spilled all inside the plastic bag surrounding the bowl and it leaked out into the paper bag. My girlfriend again got the scallop fried rice since this was the only good thing we have ever gotten from them.
Very disappointed as there is clear potential here, but the lack of organization...
Read moreIn photos and at a quick glance, the restaurant seems to be elegant and well decorated. However, the termn "don't judge a book by its cover," holds true here. The restaurant looks unfinished.
When we came in, there was only one person working the whole front of the restaurant. After being seated to our table, it took the server 15 minutes to bring out menus and asked us if we wanted anything to drink. There were only 3 other tables filled. One table was already done eating and we're just sitting there chatting. There were also 3 dirty tables where clients have left, but the tables haven't been cleaned yet.
We ordered bĂșn tĂŽm thá»t nưá»ng with cháșŁ giĂČ (vermicelli noodle with grilled pork and shrimp and eggroll), gá»i cuá»ng (spring rolls), and cÆĄm chiĂȘn gĂ (chicken friend rice). For the vermicelli, the grilled proteins were dry and tough, the eggroll had so much taro as a filler in there that I barely tasted any meat. The fish sauce was bland. For the spring roll, the dipping sauce was also bland. The spring roll itself were filled with a ton of veggies. For the chicken fried rice, it was decent. The fried rice itself was well flavored, but kind of soggy, not dry, like fried rice should be. The chicken was not cooked with the fried rice, but seemed to have been steamed or boiled separately and the pieces were big chunks. Not how fried rice should be. #UncleRoger would rip this fried rice apart "haiya."
The server would walk up the the dirty tables and take one plate away at about 10 minute intervals. My family was there for about 1 hr and none of the dirty tables that were there when we got seated were completely cleaned by the time we left. She was on her phone...
Read moreThis location is beautiful and convenient. The staff are all extremely friendly. They being said, I want to give a true review. I've been here 5 times giving them chance after chance since my first time was so amazing. I always get pho. I appreciate being full after half my serving and taking home the rest to eat later. The pho doesn't seem to be consistent. I go back and forth between regular and spicy. The spicy is never the same. I got hot stone wagu last week, and was disappointed by the size vs price plus I learned I don't prefer wagu. Maybe it's because the hot stone bowl is so much smaller than typical pho. The margaritas are 14 and a tiny serving. Doesn't make sense for the price. I'm not sure if they do a lot of advertising because it's always dead when I go, maybe 1 or 2 families will be there. So I think the cooks don't stay motivated and also I always see the cooks outside smoking when I leave which is kind of disgusting since they are touching food I put in my mouth. If the cooks would do thei best like they did my first time a month and a half ago, they keep the servings AND AMOUNT OF MEAT GIVEN CONSISTENT, I can see this place staying around a bit longer than I have a feeling they will. I get they have to cut costs when they aren't getting people on there, but I feel like I'm paying for their lack of customers, which doesn't feel right. I hope they can keep it together so I don't have to find a new place. Update, been to a bunch of other pho places lately and none beat this one. I hope they can keep their food on par! And ps 14 for a tiny margarita is much too expensive, especially when they put it in a tiny glass that I counted. It...
