Pop's Honey Fried Chicken — Restaurant in Chandler

My family has been coming to pops for a long time and there’s been too many times to count of our orders being wrong or incomplete. We continue to drive from Tyler to chandler in spite of the inconvenience because we like the chicken. This time we ordered dressing as a side and they gave us okra with gravy. I called and spoke with the manger Giovanni to inform him of the mishaps. This time I was extremely upset because he started saying that everything is not always they’re fault. Stating that sometimes they are training ppl and mistakes happen. But it’s happened serveral times…He proceeded to argue with me instead of taking responsibility. I asked that he make it worth my while to drive from Tyler and offer me potatoes for the inconvenience and that it shouldn’t be a problem since food is thrown away all the time. He proceeded to say no that he could not do that because they save and RESALE THE OLD FOOD from the previous day. I was in shock and discuss. He told me it is safe and that they do this all the time. Yes it’s normal for food to be reheated and eaten the next day but everyone knows that you have to wait before you place hot food in the fridge. But I know they don’t wait the proper time after closing bc the staff is ready to go home. I just don’t know if it’s safe to buy anything from this...

They have a variety of food to choose from. We got their 12 piece mixed chicken with 3sides and gallon sweet tea yesterday. Mac, mashed potatoes and dressing for the sides.

The chicken was super greesy and more crust than chicken for the breast. Mac was watery with no flavor. Dressing was burned, dry and not fresh. We have got chicken from here several times before and it was greasy and more crust than chicken. Mac has always been watery like and awful! Pop's can NOT make Mac and cheese. Potatoes are normally okay if you add seasoning to them.

Just figured we would try again. Needed a quick meal for family bc didn't feel like cooking. Not much choices in Chandler for that. Chandler definitely needs more options for family takeout.

I remember like back in 2000 we would get this meal a few times a month on Sundays after church. Everything was great and of course a lot cheaper. But everything is more expensive now. Pop's has went downhill. Idk if ownership changed, cooks, etc. But not impressed with Pop's now.

We have given them numerous times trying them . Last night was the last time. We will not be back...

This restaurant is FAR from where it use to be. The chken & fish strips are little and DRY and looking. My husband went ahead and got 3pc fish & fries, since they would cook it fresh.Then the COOK came to front and got old cooked fish rom hot line and took it back like he was gonna RECOOK it for us utm_source he was looking. When bae got his FOOD, he looked at it and bit out the fush.Which looked HARD AND CRUNCHY TO Me like the shoestring Fries. I cherish my mind eating there and went to Taco bell. Then as I was inside, I heard hubby fussing about his friestoo hard. Heck it was OVERCOOKED and the Rolls was cold and had too. i cLled thoo.and they told is to cook the food with us to give it back to get a refund whenever. I told him, we up the road and hung up. Claiming they was gonna replace meal or refund but Gabe him $3.25. I will NOT be eating here and I use to LIVE off this...
