Cherry Bomb Sweets — Restaurant in Channahon

I was so excited to have an Ice cream place near to me so I didn't have to drive to Minooka when I wanted something sweet. I was so upset with the customer service or lack of customer service I may never return to Cherry bombs. I stopped by one day on my way to work. I pulled up to the driver thru window and seen two young women standing inside. I made eye contact with one and smiled. She turned around and ignored me. I waited for exactly 5mins to be greeted but nothing. I purposely stared at the girls but they both turned and refused to even glance in my direction. I couldn't believe it. I give the place 2 stars because I watched as the owner transformed this place from a Bmo Harris into a beautiful sweet shop over what seemed like years. I wanted to love this place but I have never felt so disrespect. I mean do they not serve my kind? I grew up in Channahon I have been here almost 20 years and I am proud of the changes that have taken place but this made me feel unwelcome uncomfortable. Gave 3 attempts and sadly it I know it’s actually the owner who we’ve must’ve caught on bad days. However 3 strikes you’re out for this family. We should’ve known cause the first time after a very poor experience, just getting some ice cream after a date night. After a quick shotty service of taking our orders was handed a clip board and said scan and vote for him as best in Will county lol yea no thank you. I understand why businesses like Dairy Queen are going to move in. I tried multiple times to give a benefit of doubt and to support local businesses. Second time here and left unimpressed both times. The owner sadly was the biggest problem (you will see this is a common occurrence from other reviews. I saw after we went). Today he was seemed annoyed when I asked for a menu because his menu boards were down. I was so confused why he wouldn’t have printed menus with prices if his tv screen menus were down. He quickly named a few things on the menu and became even more annoyed when I asked for a list of prices. This would have been a perfect opportunity for some helpful customer service and offer samples to our family.

The ice cream was meh. Some of the flavors were good but the chocolate tasted freezer burnt and disgusting.
