I'm from New York City and wanted to eat some authentic Chinese food. I understand it was 30 minutes before closing but I expected to still get some good food. That's not what I got. I ordered broccoli with garlic sauce which the broccoli was dried up and hard. The sauce had no sweetness to it at all. The sauce was spicy but with a very bitter taste which was awful. The BBQ spare ribs was dry with no sauce nowhere on it. The shrimp fried rice had alot of shrimps in it which was very surprising. The chicken wings was very huge but just barely cooked. All that food and not one duck sauce just 4 packets of soy sauce. All different types of restaurants have been doing this for years all over the United States. Given good service and quality food to their regular customers and new customers they give bad service and bad food. That's not how you keep business growing strong. There also was a woman that had on srubs who came after me that most likely was a regular customer probably didn't have any issues with her food like me. I spent over $51 and the food should have been great like the other customers that left...
Read moreI have dined here for years and use to enjoy their food for lunch on a weekly basis, but this will be my last time. I normally dont leave reviews, but I feel the need to do so to hopefully prevent someone from wasting their hard earned money and expecting a descent meal and not receiving one. This place has gone downhill in the past few months. No meat in the one Noodle I got in my Wonton Soup(See Pic below). I have called them back in the past to inquire about what happened to the quality of the Wonton Soup, and she said they would put more noodles and meat next time. They didn't. Nothing Changed.I have ordered the Sweet and Sour Chicken before but started being hardly no chicken and all dough, so I started ordering the House LO Mein and was very disappointed again. I keep giving them a chance, thinking maybe it's just an isolated instance, but the last 4 times have been very disappointing. I dont know what has changed for them, but I hope they get it fixed.I will be taking my business elsewhere. So I recommend that you don't waste your time or...
Read moreMy quest for decent Chinese food in Chapel Hill continues. I'm from SF and DC so I knew it would be tough. I had high hopes for this place as they had a separated "Chinese menu". Boy oh boy was I wrong. Even mall Chinese is better seasoned and less greasy than the meal we had.
Ordered chow mein - avoid this. Noodles were pan fried to the point of being extra crispy (near burnt) and swam in grease, chicken and veg swam in a totally tasteless but incredibly over salted brown goop. Also tried the Singapore rice noodles. Again, tasteless except for a liberal hand with salt. The chicken, shrimp and beef had no seasoning prior to stir frying, and the noodles yellowed from some use of curry but I just couldn't taste it. Finally, string beans with garlic sauce. I asked for them to be extra spicy given other experiences I've had in Chapel Hill. They dumped a ton of red pepper in there, but I could taste no garlic, no sesame, black bean or any other seasoning usu associated with this dish, just pepper and cooking oil.
The...
