Bolin Creek — Attraction in Chapel Hill

Great trail along the creek. Goes from ALMOST Wilson Park in Carrboro to the community center in Chapel Hill. A safe way to avoid traffic going from Carrboro and Chapel Hill. Closed at night. On your honor. Paved. A day after a storm it is usually cleaned up. Well kept. I use it 5 to 7xs a week to go work. It is a peaceful ride near the creek. Lot of folks park at Umstead Park or the Chapel Hill Community Center on Estes. The trail is roughly 2 miles give or take. Bathrooms at the 3 aforementioned parks. Great place to take the pooches, with trails running all throughout the woods off of the main path. Plenty of dogs and deer, and they’re extending the trail under the MLK overpass/bridge soon. Not recommended for RV'rs. No access. The city of Durham has made visiting this location and others like it impossible for outsiders. No planned parking. Durham in general is not RV travel friendly.
