This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. It took us almost 15 minutes to see a waiter another 10 minutes to just get water.the waiter just kept apologizing saying they were busy.then I watched as the table In front of us complained that it has already been a half hr since they ordered at that point it had been about 15-20 minutes since we ordered. I then watched a waiter bring out my wife's taco salad and have no clue where to bring it so she went in the kitchen with it.the other tables food came out and it was the wrong order.i got a look at that food and had a funny feeling it was ours.the waiter brought it back and told us simultaneously our food was coming. At that point the table Infront of us received their food but I think it was cold because they walked out at that point.our food came, the taco salad for my wife and quesadilla texana which was supposed to have beef chicken shrimp peppers and onions inside. My daughter's simple hotdog and French fries did not come and the waiter said he would be right back with it. I feel my quesadilla because it looked like what was brought to the other table and returned. It was Luke warm at best, I opened it up and there was nothing but beef inside. I complained to the waitress she apologized and said she would come out with another and she went to the kitchen returning with my daughter's hotdog and French fries.the fries were warm but the hot dog a simple hot dog was cold at that point we had enough and walked out. I'll never ever go back and this place came recommended to me. Not sure how they are still opened They are only getting one star only because this post will not go...
Read moreTables extremely dirty! The waiter Erick came to the table only 3 times in a matter of 2 hours. We got the simple guac and it took over 35 mins. There was only one other table so not busy at all. Also, got a margarita he never asked me what size or even told me there was different sizes. There was no alcohol whatsoever in the drink, I am a bartender and can tell. I over heard the other table saying how their beers tasted water down. The waiter never looked or acknowledged my BF, only me. He took his water to refill and never returned with more water. My bf was left without wait for a good 30 mins. Our entrees took about a hour and half to come out. When came out my bf got the carne asada. It was more like beef jerky, it was over cooked and dry, and tasted like dog food. I went inside to ask for napkins since our waiter never came to check up on us. We never got the napkins. When he brought the check, he put into my bf face and would not leave the table until he gave him his card. I was going to leave cash as a tip (since my bf paid i was in charge of tip) on the table so he put "none" in the tip line. The waiter came back and yelled at us for no tip and talked back to us. I did not even get the chance to lay the cash down since I was packing everything up. The longest he was ever at the table, and argued with my bf. The WORST service we have ever had!! food was nasty and not worth it. The service was extremely awful. This ruined our night, had to go somewhere else to get food after. I work at a Mexican restaurant and this was far from tasting like real...
Read moreThree years have passed since I wrote the 5-star review and a lot has changed. The host and waitress were very nice, the waitress very efficient. The food was good generally and served hot. However, the Chile relleno was not good. The pepper was tough and rubbery. The cheese was the consistency of bubble gum. The chicken burrito was very good and the beans were delicious. I hope the food quality will improve.
My son and I ate there about 1:25 PM today. My son loves Mexican food and is very picky about what is good and what isn't. I enjoy Mexican meals, also and I, too, can be a bit fussy. We both enjoyed our Experience at La Hacienda. My son had never been there and I have not been there in many years. He had La Cazuela (the casserole) and a quacamole salad and was very pleased. I had a 2-item combo that included a tamale and a chili relleno with rice and beans. The pepper was just a bit tough but it was very good. The tamale was chicken and a bit plain. However, it was large and a nice change from what every other restaurant serves. The rice and beans were great and plentiful. Too many places serve refried beans these days that are as thin as soup and it is necessary to mix them with rice in order to use a fork. This serving of beans was firm and it was nice to be able to eat them on there own. The food was hot and fresh. The prices were very reasonable, much lower than at other restaurants of a similar nature. Our waitress was efficient and exceedingly friendly. I have no worries about suggesting this place to you and I do intend to...
