MEXI TACO — Restaurant in Charleroi

Rustic atmosphere, excellent service and delicious food with Special dishes every Friday! Highly recommend! *Edit-I really didn't want to do this as I always try to shop local but I ate there today. Now mind you I want to add this edit is coming because the last few times I've eaten here I have not been happy with the quality of food. Got take out and had to warm up my food in the microwave. I live 3 minutes away. The owner was apologetic but it wasn't offered to be corrected. Today I dined in and got the Carne Asada plate. This was by far the toughest steak I've ever eaten and it had zero flavor. The refried beans were cold. I literally chewed on the steak for a solid 10 minutes and I still had a hard time eating it. I feel like they aren't prepared when they first open. I wanted to say something but the gentleman at the counter was buried in his phone. I usually give multiple chances but...this was the last time. Sorry. Best of luck to the restaurant and hopefully they can correct...

The only reason I’m putting down 3 stars is because of the kind staff, and extremely clean and well kept restaurant. I ordered the Mexi Burrito and did steak and chicken (1/2 & 1/2). I said no beans extra rice. Ordered a side of queso as well. After about 20 mins I got my order and went back to work across the street. My first bite was a lot of the vegetables so I took my second bite and again it felt like I ate all vegetable. I cut the burrito open and saw 95% of it was peppers and onions. I counted 6 little pieces of chicken and steak. For $17 dollars I just couldn’t deal with it. Took it back and was refunded my entire amount. The place is spotless though and customer service was excellent. That in itself goes a long way with me. I look forward to trying them again...

Had a really disappointing experience. Waited 50 minutes for our food, and multiple people who came in after us were served before us. We only had an hour lunch break, so by the time we received our food, we had to box it up and leave immediately. By the time we made it back to work, the food was soggy and gross. Even if we had eaten there, the food was overpriced and not that great for the quality we received. The guy was nice, and I hate writing bad reviews for small businesses, but we were really disappointed. We didn't even receive any kind of discount for our troubles. Will not be...
