The last few times I’ve been there the service has been horrible. The frozen coffees aren’t icy anymore, it’s basically a latte. When I finally said something after several disappointments, an older woman with curly hair said it was “really hot inside and outside” so that’s why it wasn’t…frozen…literally the menu item. I guess take that item off your menu then if it’s too hot in your store to make it, and don’t be rude to customers? I’ve been coming here for years and loved it every time. Ever since she’s been behind the counter you can tell the whole vibe is off. The employees seem miserable too. I guess I have to start making coffee at home without Charleston coffee exchange products. Oh well.

I went here yesterday after searching for a local coffee shop on the way to my destination. I was excited to check this place out after a quick glance of high star reviews but I ended up very underwhelmed by this spot. The girl at the register took me by surprise with how condescending she was in our conversation. To give the benefit of the doubt that maybe she didn't realize how incredibly patronizing she was being I would still point out then that in that case she still severely lacked basic interpersonal skills for a customer-facing position. It’s not like I expect a Ritz-Carlton level of service from a coffee shop but wow she was very off-putting. I don’t think I’d even have cared to send in a review if my latte was tasty but the espresso was very bitter and not the delicious smooth flavor I am used to from most other places. visited on Sunday August 27, 2023 in the early afternoon. Not sure how this place is staying open. The two young women who were wait staff were rude, unfriendly ungrateful, and appeared to be lazy. Placed my order order and they did not start making it until about four other customers drinks behind me were made. if you are looking for welcoming, southern hospitality, don't open the door to this place. Coffee was passable.

** this is in response to owner's reply: appreciate your response. was with my husband and son, they too wondered why mine took so long. i totally understand if error made, but staff said nothing, not a hello, a thank you, not a word about time it took, zero communication. hopefully it was just a one-off instance, but i will spend my money where feel welcomed, not as if we are bothering them.
