Southern Brews Coffee — Restaurant in Charleston

So missed the "stop and pay" window thinking it was just prior to the pickup area. Stopped at pickup, looking thru closed sliding window I observed the employee busy on her phone. After a minute or so I tapped on the window with one finger. This enraged the employee who, in a loud voice, said "Don't you tap on this window", I tried to explain that I had missed the pay window and could I pay here, I was berated and dismissively told how to re-enter the drive thru and go to the pay window. I should have left but I wanted coffee. So I drove around, paid and went to the pickup window. New surprise, the "manager" loudly berates my wife and I accusing us of calling her employee an idiot...If,just if, I was to be responsive to the terrible interaction with "her" employee "idiot" would be way down the choice of descriptive words that I would have chosen. We said that no such thing ocurred. We were then handed our four cups of cofee, no tray to hold them. The coffee was weak ,bordering on tasteless,and not very hot,this was a total waste of our time and money. What an abject failure of customer service, we will not...

Southern Brew Coffee is easily one of the worst coffee experiences I’ve ever had. The coffee is consistently watered down and tastes awful no matter what I order. I paid $9 for what they call a medium—which is only 12 ounces. Not worth it at all.

The staff is just as disappointing: every time I’ve gone, they’ve been rude and clearly unhappy to be there. I’ve given this place three chances, and each time has been the same story.

To make matters worse, their iced coffee is a joke—it always comes out hot with just a couple of ice cubes thrown in, as if they don’t care how it’s served. It’s never made correctly, and honestly, it feels like nobody there even tries.

DONT GO TO THE COUNTER!!! Typically a great place with a long drive thru line. I was running late and there was a long line at the drive thru. So just like you'd do anywhere else I parked and went to the counter to order. The joys of being willing to get out of your car.NOT HERE. STAY IN YOUR CAR! I was told (nicely) that they wouldn't even take my order until the car I "would have been behind" got to order. That's wild. Suggestion would be to make it a drive thru only if that's your stance.
