Cafeteria style cafe. I had a yummy ham and cheese Johnny cake 'Journey cake' sandwich. Johnny cakes are a big thing in Rhode Island, so I wanted to compare. Johnny cakes were staple fare for sea fairing journeys in the Colonial New England community. Made of hearty corn, Johnny cakes traveled well and didn't become stale. These cakes tasted more to me like a Portuguese sweet bread šŸž but it was a decent option for a quick grab before my morning flight. Looked better than the croissants. Coffee, soda, energy drinks, sandwich grab-n-go, soup, oatmeal. Full bar if you want to enjoy a final 'Painkiller' before heading off to the cold. Prices are typical of airport pricing. It gets the job done. Ample seating.

Atmosphere: it's an airport but ample seating while I was there. Service: The young lady helping me at the cafeteria area helping fulfill my order was amazing! It must have been right before the cafeteria style offering was closing, but she pulled the veggies out for me. She loaded my container to the brim!!!! The chicken entree was literally the best most authentic food I've had on the island, which is very surprising. Kudos to her for being amazing. As for those complaining about outrageous prices....airport food is always expensive and you are in St. Thomas which has New York prices throughout the entire island, you should expect no less. My opinion: spend the money and get the entree!

Good selection of hot and cold quick service options. We got the hot dogs and fries. I wanted to try the local cuisine, it looked good but my kids didn't finish their food so I ate the hot dogs. The hotdogs are huge. Other options are fresh pre made sandwiches and salads, fruit salad, burgers, veggie burgers, chicken fingers, and several local cuisines. There is also a bar in this Cafe.

Among the worst customer service experiences I've ever witnessed! My first time through the line was 10:50 am and although the food I wanted on the hotbar was right there in front of me, Jamicqua, with an incredibly poor attitude told me she's serving breakfast. So I respectfully honored the rules before returning to the line 10 minutes later. Once again, I politely requested the oxtail plate. When I told Jamicqua I didn't desire any sides, she informed me that she is not allowed to serve oxtail without any sides. I assumed there was a misunderstanding and made it clear that she can give me a regular sized serving, charge me full price and I will gladly pay for the sides that I don't order. That was not a possibility nor was it possible to gift the sides to the patrons behind me who graciously offered to take my sides in order for me to stay compliant the strict 2 side policy. After several minutes of pleading for a $30 a la carte serving of oxtail while holding up a line of sympathetic patrons watching in disbelief, I left the line once again defeated....that is until I ran into the manager and decided to discuss the policy once more for a better understanding. So, another 10 minutes of back and forth between the kitchen, Jamicqua, and the manager, and a deal was negotiated to allow a one time exception! After receiving the order to break the rules, Jamicqua begrudgingly spooned over a few measly bites of oxtail leaving the spaces for obligatory sides full of air. The oxtail was pretty tasty hence...

Had to deal with the "table police" lady. I tried waiting for a table so my family can sit down while I go and order. We were not allowed, so we had to all get in line and order our food. After we got our food, then we had to stand there with our food getting cold and wait for someone to get up. By the time someone got up, our food was cold. We sat down and ate our cold food (wasn't hot to start). I swear the second we took our last bite, the "table police" lady came over and said for us to get up if we were done....LOL I said lady, we just finished two seconds ago. She said that is not right that we don't get up the second we are done, and insinuated we were rude and inconsiderate people. I don't care if this is the only place to get a meal in this airport, I will not go there again. I also feel we were racially profiled since I noticed others were allowed to remain at tables after eating or while family members were...

first off let's talk about the staff. Beyond rude which is funny because the Virgin Island prides themselves on being friendly and being courteous.

The way the woman who was taking orders was talking to customers made me want to vomit. If you decide to eat here just expect to be treated rudely. This place makes money hand over fist so they don't care about insulting you. The only way that will change is if people stop eating there the more bad reviews they get is what I'm guessing but I doubt anything will change.

As many people have said in these reviews avoid the cheeseburger at all costs. It's absolutely disgusting. Stick with the local island cuisine platter instead or the chicken tenders and...
