I am a bit upset with the service of this place. - The Tables closest to the beach we’re not cleaned at ALL. I saw people trying to sit on them but one after the other would leave because the service here wouldn’t want to clean them. - ALSO. For those reading this with a bit of an age, or those thinking that bringing your older family members would have a great time... well, they won’t! Example 1: I saw a older gentleman trying to get out of the ocean and couldn’t. He couldn’t get a hold of himself. The towel guys instead of helping laughed. By the time I wanted to help (I was sitting in Restaurant closest to beach - Table I cleaned by my own means) the gentleman was out. Example 2: An older Woman could NOT open the Mayonnaise plastic packet she was given, her husband (older than her) couldn’t get it to open either. She nicely asked the waiter (who was also my waiter) to open for her and the Waiter said: “Oh NOOOoo No. I cannot do that.” The older woman said with a smile: “I can’t open it and I don’t mind if you touch it.” And the Waiter replied: “I said No.” and she walked away! - I was there thinking how much of a _ she was to this older woman! I then saw the lady struggle with a knife trying to cut it open.... but she managed to open instead with her fork. Did I say... you get the plastic packets?! Just making sure you all know this is supposed to be a “Resort.” - Then... my food was the Steak... but it was 50% Onions, 50% Steak. It was by far the Most Small Disappointing Dish I’ve had. For $28?!?!?! Hoping this business bankrupts them or disappears in the next hurricane they get. A Horrible place with Horrible human beings. - By the way... when my bill came to me... it came with no PEN. When I approached the waiter and said: “Just so you know, this has no pen.” - I was DEFINITELY not going to give her any extra (Tip was automatically charged) but her response was: “Okay... and?” As if defying me. Like saying: “You can’t change the tip.” It was a NASTY place to be. - Btw. This place serves French fries, basic burgers, and pretty much TRASH FOOD. I thought of it being in the map meant it was good. I was mistaken. DO NOT GO THERE!!!! Hotel was also very dated... Thank goodness I Didn’t stay on there. Oh and... the food was hard. Really...
Read moreI ate at this restaurant every day during my two-week honeymoon at the Emerald Beach Resort because I had no choice—it’s the only dining option on-site unless you’re willing to pay $10-$40 each way for a taxi to eat elsewhere. Meals for two cost $60–$100 without drinks, and the service was almost non-existent. The staff seemed like they either hated tourists, their jobs, or both. Despite the mandatory service charge (on top of the already high prices), the service was indifferent and unkind.
I honestly felt like I wasn’t treated as a valued guest—or even a human being—while dining here. For the amount of money I spent, I expected at least decent service, but it was consistently unpleasant. The only positive encounter I had was with the bartender (a friendly white lady), who at least showed some effort to be welcoming.
As for the food, I tried almost everything on the menu since I had no other option, and most of it was subpar. The steak tacos and burgers were tolerable, but the fries were terrible, and many dishes were hard to eat.
If you’re staying at the Emerald Beach Resort, I strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant whenever possible. Instead, take a trip to G&D’s Seafood—it’s the same price but offers incredible food and genuinely friendly service.
In summary, this restaurant was an absolute disappointment and an awful part of what was supposed to be a...
Read moreThe Service was bad, and the food was 'okay'. I ordered the House Burger meal $16 and a Caesar Salad. After 25 minutes, no food. The place had only 1 waitress, but was only serving 3-4 tables. We almost left as we had a plane to catch within 4 hours and were hoping for a quick bite to eat. My drink that I ordered when I sat was empty within 5 minutes and no one came back to check on me during the entire 25 minute wait. When the food got there 25 minutes after ordering, it was just a burger with JUST CHEESE on it and the Caesar Salad had NO CAESER DRESSING, the waitress asked me if I wanted tomato, lettuce onion (knowing full well that is what came with the burger) and I calmly said 'yes,.. please' and we requested caesar dressing. We had been polite this entire time but I was getting anxious about the upcoming flight and ate too fast to compensate. I decided I was not going to be tipping 20% which seemed somewhat earned, but guess what? Automatic gratuity! 15%! I nearly lost it! I've even taken the time to write a review on this place one week later once I got back to the mainland U.S. In their defense, it seemed like the waitress was stressed and that it may have been the fault of the kitchen and they were understaffed potentially, however my judgement is on the establishment as a whole and how my experience was. A nearby patron mentioned, "it usually...
