The service was good but the food left a lot to be desired. Got the top shelf margarita, it tasted more like they used a cheap premix and cheap tequila that they pass off as top shelf. Good quality margaritas you shouldn't have a bad after taste when drinking. I've had plenty of margaritas to know the difference.
Revision....... In response to my review I can give some direction as requested. As I mentioned the margaritas had a bad aftertaste. It was bitter. Not sure if you use a premix or if you use a house made mix but the margaritas were bitter. That being said if it was premix I personally did not care for it. If it was house made maybe there was a little to much lime to the mixture making it bitter. My husband even commented that they had a funny aftertaste.
The shredded beef in the dish I had was very dry and bland tasting. The beans were very runny. You really needed a spoon to eat them instead of a fork. My husband liked his fajitas though. Yes, the salsa was rather lac luster. Sweet like ketchup. Also the typical salad stuff on my plate was watery. Glad ya washed the lettuce but watery not good.
Also we were seated at a table for a group of 5 right next to the bathroom area. Can you guess how many times people bumped into our table, or chairs to squeeze by to get to the bathroom? One time it was hard enough that our table was hit that it cause the table to shift. The restaurant appears big enough that you wouldn't have to cram 2 large groups right there together so that it was such a tight fit for people to reach the restroom. As I mentioned there were 5 in our group and a larger group at the tables behind us.
Hope this helps give some direction...
Read moreI understand why there are alot of 4 star reviews on here. This place isnt bad but it's not exactly the best either. If you love cilantro in your Mexican food you wont like this place. If you hate cilantro you might like it. I personally like my mexican food to taste fresh, so freshly chopped cilantro helps alot. The chips were good and the salsa wasnt bad but I generally dislike salsa that has the taste and consistency of tomato paste. The steak tacos were underwhelming. Not enough toppings (pico and a spicy green salsa) to satisfy but the steak was good although slightly chewy. Overall for a small town restaurant it's not bad but it just didnt taste good enough to warrant 5 stars. I would give the service...
Read moreStopped by here on a whim when in the area from nearby Clarksville.
I don't get to have Chilaquiles very often because I haven't found a spot in Clarksville that serves them...so when I saw them in the menu, I jumped on 'em.
They were every bit as good as I was hoping them to be. Well seasoned beef with fresh guacamole and pico de gallo. Yum, yum! The rice on the side was tasty too.
@prophiphop was right when he said, "Chilaquiles and In-N-Out will be served in Heaven.".
If you're ever in the area, give this place a visit, if you frequently visit them and have NEVER ordered the chilaquiles, I hope you're happy...
