Great Harvest Bread Co. — Restaurant in Charlotte

So a friend has raved about this store and I have the luxury of trying on of their Savannah Bars, which was delicious. So today I was in the area and decided to pick some up. Well when I walked in I was not even greeted with a "hello," instead the two people up front rushed to the back of the store to chat with coworkers. I know I enter quietly so I waited to get someone's attention, and I was the ONLY person in the store. Then another customer walked in and everyone rushed over to talk to "Mia" the customer who took priority over me. So I continued to wait for another 2 minutes before I announced " I am apparently invisible," to which the sales person replied "sorry" in a very ungenuine way. Great Bread Harvest Bread Co. on Rea Rd has always been such a delight! However, yesterday afternoon (03/10/24) around 1:45PM was quite different from the moment we stepped foot. We weren't greeted by the young guy (of India origin - my apologies didn't know his name, not certain he had on a name tag). Went to the counter, and I had to ask if I could place an order. He then coughed in his hand but didn't wash his hands nor put on gloves while retrieving the banana bars. I wanted to ask him, but others had come inside by that time. Asked for a particular bar, I had to ask again. I had to ask for a bag because I had more than one order. It appears this young man needs better training on all points of service. I first became acquainted with the company while living in Goldsboro. Within the Charlotte area, thisis the location I prefer and frequent the most. This is the only sliced bread I purchase. There have been some occasions that I noticed the quality that I've come to enjoy was lacking (e.g. over baked). It has been variable based on location and product purchased. They offer samples, sandwiches during lunch hours, gluten-free products, assorted sweets (cookies, brownies, scuffins), and special offerings during the holidays. There is a rewards program.
