The food was good but the service was the worst I'd ever experienced. When i was there today, there was a small middle aged man (presumably the owner) and a burly guy in his mid to late thirties. The burly guy in particular had a nasty attitude. He didn't even pay attention to me for about five minutes, no greeting nothing, zero. One of the things I love about Arab culture is their hospitality but this place had none of that, they make you feel unwelcome as soon as you walk in there. This is a place where you order food from the counter (like Subway's or Burger King) so I was surprised that when you pay with a credit card that they expect you to tip them. Why should i tip them? Think about it? What service do they provide you to merit a tip? Does he bring the food to your table? No, he calls you to pick the food from the counter despite the tables being about five feet away. Does he clean up the table when you are done eating? No, you are expected to bring the empty plates back to the counter, I witnessed the burly man complain when other customers didn't do that, he was speaking Arabic but judging by his facial expression what ever he was saying wasn't good. Does he ask you how the food was? No, he ignores you. Does he greet you when you enter the restaurant? No, again he ignores, in fact when I greeted him in Arabic he looked at me as if I was stupid and didn't even respond. We spent $45 in this place. When we were about to leave they didn't even say goodbye. We are by far the most friendly people on earth and we should never have been treated like this. I advise you all to avoid this place under the people running this place (especially the burly guy) get their...
Read moreIf I could give 0\5 I would. I used to come to this place before, came around 3 or 4 times. The 4th time was our last. Food was okay at the begging, so we tested different dishes, the 4th time my family were waiting on a table, with no one else in the restraint except the owner. It was around 2 p.m. afternoon. The owner was talking on the phone for about 20 min and not taking our order. Us waiting patiently, after 20 minutes we ordered our food, and him for some reason had a rude face, expressing this inner hate for something we did. But we were normal customers waiting to be able to order food. After he was finished cooking, he called us by saying "Heyyy!" and my mother came over the counter to get food, and he threw the food on the counter, it was couple boxes, and snatched my mothers money, and threw the change at her. The change fell around the ground and counter, and my mother politely picked it up, after speaking to the owner saying we won't come back, he said I don't need your service I have plenty desi's come to my store. He was most likely being racist to my race, being Indo-Pak, saw this rude behavior many times, ignored it, but the 4th time was my last. Very bad customer service, I have never faced this issue...
Read moreTasty food, not too expensive at all. Definitely a hole-in-the-wall type joint, but isn't that where the best food is hidden? (Interior not dirty, btw). If you're a smoker, get psyched, they have a couple tables outside with ashtrays! Rare these days. Like I said, pretty cheap. You can get a beef/chicken shawarma sandwich (it's like a wrap, but in a pita), and a decent sized baba gha nouj with two extra pitas for just over ten bucks. Gets me and my girlfriend both full. Owners/employees are a little abrupt sometimes, but just be direct and decisive and you'll be fine. If you have an obsession with perfect service at your local eatery, find their menu online, call in a phone order, and get it to-go.
Really though, give Oasis...
