I have been eating here for over a decade off and on and this was the first post COVID visit. Pricing is up, service is horrible and food is very uneven. We had 5 people and the seating was at a booth for 4 with one dinner in the aisle on the end of the table. The waitress was uninformed about the food, unprofessional and unintentionally rude ( clearing plates when finished but not when everyone was done, “ ya still working on that? How dat tasting “ etc). Asked about liquor used in cooking and the answer did not inspire confidence. Asking about vegetarian options and was basically told we can give you creamy pasta and cooked veggies. Pricing for vegetarian options and a mock tail was the same as with booze and fish. The summer salad was horrible ( brown prosciutto and tasteless peaches). The Cesar like salad was great as were the lobster raviolis. Still the menu is stale, and leans strongly towards pasta and cream sauce ( lots of butter, salt, and cream which I guess is key if the quality of your fish is uneven). I wish I could say go to other better restaurants on cape but there really isn’t much — actually cream and kone fried bellies is probably your best quality value bet. But I would give...
Read moreSue and team are exceptional. We always look forward to going to Pisces. Service is causal, warm and friendly. On arrival there is small valet service, they clearly work hard to juggle cars in a small lot.
Very nice wine and cocktail list. Starters: Calamari with olives and lemon = outstanding as was the parmesan salad. Entrees: spicy tuna, fresh and nice spices = the best! Lobster ravioli is great with nice salty flavor from fresh lobster.
I'm also going to take the liberty of commenting on a couple of other ratings. This is a small business, seasonal restaurant with great service and extremely high quality food that we gladly support. It is not a sophisticated hotel style restaurant. Despite some negative comments about the valet team, they are truly nice and welcoming.
Pisces is a classic, cape cod style restaurant full of charm, friendly people, and nice art on the walls. They serve truly great food, prepared by a wonderfully talented chef. There are very few, locally owned establishments left in Chatham, this happens to be one of them and it should not be...
Read moreI would give no stars if I could. I cannot comment on the food because we were never seated. We booked a reservation for 2 at 7:30 over a week ago and confirmed it the day of. We arrived 7 minutes early and were told the table was not ready yet. We sat at the bar and had a cocktail. I got the feeling the hostess wanted us to remain at the bar and order there. The hostess sat 3 other tables that arrived after us. Two of the tables were for two people like our reservation. When we pointed this out, we were told that they were setting a special table for us. Twenty minutes after the time of the reservation, the special table turned out to be in the main walkway, at a pony wall, that the servers walked through (frequently and quickly) to serve other tables. We refused this and walked out. There was no concern from the staff aside from a quick and insincere “sorry.” This was a very disappointing experience. I have stuck to the facts here and have expressed none of my anger. This is the first time my wife and I have ever walked out of a...
