Northside Seafood — Restaurant in Chattahoochee

We were looking for seafood on a Wednesday night as we were traveling west on I-10, so what do you do? You go Google and search for restaurants near you. One of the only places open that wasn't a chain was Northside Seafood.

We walked in around 7 PM (When a lot of small town places are starting to think about closing). We were greated by an amazingly friendly staff that was more than accommodating to our party of 4.

We all ordered shrimp, some grilled and some fried. None of us were disappointed. The size of the shrimp themselves were smaller than we had expected, but the taste was great!! We all ate until we couldn't eat any more. Even the youngest daughter and the son, neither of which can go more than a couple minutes without complaining about something, were extremely happy.

Update: So I order food today which is 07/27/25. 12am it’s Sunday…. Catfish was cut into nuggets and the hush puppies were burnt. I eat here enough for this not to happen but unfortunately it did today to whom ever cooked this yall suck!!!!! And it will be months before I come back again. I hate to write this review but this cannot happen again!!! I refused to spend money on burnt food and it was no way in the world the cook did not know. I know old it’s a lot of older people that eat there and I know for a fact that wouldn’t have been served to any of them even if was a Togo order!!!!!!

My family and friends have enjoyed eating here for 35 years + the food has been always hot and fresh and service is friendly. You can choose to eat in or take out. Everything is good here so I have no suggestions. Plenty of weekly...

I had to amend my review... food is still very good. However, we ordered 8 pieces of fried chicken (one chicken) and potatoe salad for 4. We were charged $40 FORTY dollars! And the chicken was Small. We complained and thevwoman said she'd cook two more pieces. Went to pick it up and they "didnt know anything about it". No "Im sorry, we will fix it", nothing. Just stone walling. My family was in the restaurant business 49 years. We had EXCELLENT food and EXCELLENT service and if we made a mistake, we fixed it quick. Our customers still talk about how good we were 24 yrs after closing. I guarantee none of my family will EVER go to Northside again.
