First time visiting la Delicia. Our family choose this restaurant based on reviews. The food was a solid 7-10. Unfortunately things went down hill the min when we were served our drinks. When we first arrived. I asked our server which brands of beer they carried. He paused, hesitated and told me to wait and he would go ask and see if they had any left. This was a bit odd but I figured they only carried bottled drinks. He came back 2 min later and said they only had Modelo. I told him it was fine and our party ordered four 32 oz beers. After he took our order. He took an unusually long time to come back with our drinks. Our party even joked saying they must have gone next door and bought it. Since their is liquor store down the street. What we were brought out was the worst beer I have ever been served in my ENTIRE life. FLAT ROOM TEMPERATURE BEER. Barely And I mean barely chilled and 3 cups of ice. I TRULY TRULY wish I was making this up. The worst part was not the beer . It’s the fact I got up and told the manager we were served flat room temperature beer and he looked at me and in the most friendly manner said “ you can add a bit of ice” and smiled. The he proceeded to tell me his cooler isn’t really working and those were Can beers that were poured unto 32 oz mugs. I appreciate the honesty but WOW! Clearly they have done this before because the server brought out cups of ice with our beer. They obviously discussed this and knew what they were going to serve us otherwise they wouldn’t have brought out ice. My question if they have the courage to serve a horrible drink to not loose a sale. What are they really serving you. Expired food?? This place needs there liquors license removed ASAP. If the owner reads this please feel free to contact me. Although the food was great and the staff was friendly. I would personally never ever recommend anyone to go here. We were charged 9.99 per beer. Instead of causing a scene which I should have looking back considering we paid $80 dollars. I choose to come here and hope people read this review and steer clear...

First time eating here, & I was not disappointed! The food was made fresh, cooked perfectly, & the service was great. I wil definitely be back.
I spoke with the gentleman in Spanish to practice a bit & they were very nice & seemed to enjoy listening to my broken Spanish & even gave me some info about Guatemala etc.
Lovely People, great food, & not expensive. Average big dinner plate runs about $15 for steak etc, & portions are large enough for even a hungry fat boy like me. 😁
Definitely recommend trying them out the next time you are in the mood for Latin/Mexican style food, music etc in...
Read moreI asked for Jalapeños with the Pollos Locos. Specifically. Didn’t get them. I spent $60 bucks at this establishment and even tipped them $10 bucks before hand. I work in the restaurant industry & cook for hundreds of people a day and I just cannot for the life of me understand why people just can’t get an order right. Won’t be going back. I was really looking forward to it too and would spend $100 bucks a week there or anywhere if I could find good authentic Mexican food in Rossville other than Amigos. I love Authentic Mexican food but I guess the Tex Mex wins because they teach quality...
