Lo Main — Restaurant in Chattanooga

We just had the WORST experience here. My husband and some of his coworkers decided to try this place for a late lunch. He called and I was in the area- but had already gotten my kids food from a drive- thru- but didn’t get myself anything, so we decided to meet him and his co-workers at Lo Main. After getting settled and reading the menu, my husband noticed the disclaimer on the back that said “no outside food and drink”. He went to the bartender and explained the situation- especially the fact that one of our children is autistic and only has a handful of safe foods that he will actually eat. (We are typically rule followers but considering that the restaurant was literally empty and we were bringing more guests to eat, we didn’t think it would be a huge deal- which is why we asked for permission). The bartender was incredibly kind and helpful and considering that the entire restaurant was EMPTY except for our table, said it was okay this one time. Fast forward to when the guy from the back came and delivered our food and screamed at our entire table (including my now terrified children) about the outside food policy. I tried to explain to him that we had spoken to the bartender- but I couldn’t get a word in because he was just yelling over me. He then went and berated the bartender in front of us and proceeded to walk by us numerous time with an exasperated loud sigh and dirty looks for the remainder of our time there. Then another lady from the kitchen came out and gave our table dagger eyes as well. My kids were terrified. Again- we were the only patrons inside the restaurant. It was appalling.

The food was subpar, at best.

The only redeeming thing about this place was the kind bartender- who got berated by the guy from the back. I sincerely hope the bartender finds a place of employment that does not treat...

Stopped in for a quick bite since it was close to the Airbnb and seemed people raved about this place. “The burger , the burger, the burger”

So I decide to take their word and of course get the burger. Sounds tasty and full of flavor. Sounds…… I didn’t get any of the onion, garam masala aioli , or pepper crema. The burger was hot and cheese was melted but that’s almost the end of it. Burger was extremely bland and lacking in any of the flavors described on the menu.

Not being local maybe this is the best in Chattanooga but in general it absolutely missed the mark on flavor and wouldn’t be ranked on the scale at all with out major seasoning and adjustments.

Also Got the arroz con elotes which is not elotes at all. It’s Indian rice with corn. And oddly enough it’s where all the salt went. Not a drop in the burger but so much on the elotes you couldn’t take more than 1 bite.

Far cry saying this place...

Literally just got kicked out of this joint for no reason. Standing there waiting for my drink, waiter comes by and nearly shoves me out the way, but instead waved one of the tickets that they give ya in my face. Mad disrespectful. Then he came by again and freaked out when I was slightly in his way, mind you this place is maybe 400 sq feet with tables and chairs everywhere of course. Was showing my friend what he did to me with my buddy’s ticket and he saw me. Since he knew he was wrong, he said “what are you doing” to which I responded “why did you do that to me”. He ran to the bartender to get me kicked and the guy rudely gave me my card back, said “learn some manners”, and I bounced. No lie. Won’t go back but that’s just my experience. Hope that waiter dude has a better night. My buddy had the burger tho, said...
