Hardee’s — Restaurant in Cheraw

Hardees is one of a few fast food joints that have gone SEVERELY downhill in the last decade or so (though it doesn't hurt their profits, right)...and my experience at this one did little to convince me otherwise. I arrived at 6:30pm, one person in front of me at the drive thru...in minutes, I place my order; maple waffle chicken sandwich combo w/ large Coke, lg cheddar bacon fries, blt ranch burger. There's no screen that shows they hit the right buttons, but the lady reads the order back. So far so good. The guy ahead of me has been at the window about 6 minutes, and is relegated to the 'we're so busy' lane. I see 5 people on front line, place looks barely steady busy...takes the girl a few to take my money, a few more to get my drink and change. Mildly annoying, but I'll survive it. About 7 minutes later, she walks up and asks, "Whachoo waitin on?" Patiently, (I've done fast food work, it's stressful, even more so I suppose, when you have no initiative to even try going the extra 2 feet...) I mention the chicken sandwich, and before I mention the fries and burger she vacuously walks off, yells into the kitchen, and comes back with a big bag 'full' of a tiny chicken sandwich and fries...regular fries. I say I had a burger (forgetting until later that I wanted bacon cheese fries...they say duh isn't catching 🙄😉) She asks what kind. I hand her the receipt; printed in clear, readable english, so she can see the info she should've known by now. Meanwhile, poor SUV guy is still waiting for service, and she finally returns with the full-er bag. I leave, and the waffle sandwich is hot and tasty, but I've honestly seen chicken nuggets that were bigger. Fries were hot, but missing the aforementioned bacon bits and cheese...kinda my fault, but really, how hard is it to fill an order properly after being told twice and being shown the dang receipt? Burger...warm, but obviously took a tanning day at club heatlamp for a couple hours...and dressed in nothing but ketchup! No B...no L...no T (well, unless you count the pureed T 🤦‍♂️) and sure no ranch. I will say the Coke was cold and refreshing...but we know what they say about stopped clocks. I don't mean to be hateful, but this kind of thing is pathetic...lifes hard all around, but why settle for the lowest common denominator, and make it even more difficult for everyone? I pays my hard earned money...real money that keeps you rolling, and this is the mediocre at best quality of service you give in return...good standards and efficient, accurate service costs nothin but common sense and decency, and might just help your credibility (and profits)....

My husband and I ordered shakes. When the girl handed him the shakes the clear cup is the size of a small drink cup of most fast food places. It was less than half full and just had the shake on the walls of the cup and empty in the middle like how a tornado looks empty in the middle. He asked the girl about the shake not being full, because they are about $3 per shake. She smarted off and said that it was “the proper ounces.” He told her that he expected to get a full cup of shake since that is what he is paying for and asked for a refund. She slammed the cups down on the counter and walked off. The manager come over to the window and asked what was wrong and we told her. She remade the shakes after asking us to pull over to the side and brought them out and it was a full cup like it is supposed to be. I don’t like how they have rearranged the window so that when you park over you can’t see what they are doing to your shake. I really didn’t want it after that, because so many places will do something to your food if you say something about what they did wrong. She assured us she made it. This is not the first time that happened. Another time we ordered a shake there the cup was over half empty when they hand us the cup. What is wrong with them? It is not their money. It is our money so, why are the only trying to give people about 2 1/2 inches of shake in their cups? Usually their shakes are very good. However lately this has been happening or they say their ice cream is out or they are cleaning their machine way before closing. I expected McDonald’s ice cream to always be broken, but...

I visited this location on 7/29 and ask “for the and breaded chicken sandwich combo can I substitute fries for green beans?” And I was asked (3) consecutive times what kind of drink did I want. I asked again can I substitute the lady (Tina H on receipt) would never answer me. She passes me to someone else who better understood the simple ask and then still gave me more attitude when she returned.

I asked for BBQ she told be before she swiped my card they didnt have it so I asked what other options existed and she said the cost. As if that was an issue I didnt mind paying but why charge me first then swipe my card separate for $0.26?? She was rude, very nasty and to clarify this complaint she had NO Top TEETH AND short thin BLONDE HAIR. I want it known that she was rude and just because the receipt said Tina H doesnt mean that was who it was. Hardees in Cheraw do better she is not TEAM...
