Carey's Restaurant — Restaurant in Cherokee

Someone really dropped the ball for Mother's Day planning. Both rooms were full with a constant stream of customers coming and going. Two waitresses and, from what I could see, one cook, were doing their best to keep up with the customer flow. The wait for my order and the other customers was extensively long. The two ladies' waiting tables were also clearing tables and wiping them down. Appropriate staff planning would have definitely alleviated the wait for food issues. I do need to say that my drink order and drinks were served right away. The order was also taken quickly. The coffee cups are very small. Customers eventually started to refill other customers' cups. When my order was finally served, it came without any hash browns. Once I told the waitress they were missing, she came right back with some. Sadly, they were almost cold. Carey's is a small town restaurant where "everybody knows everybody's name." At times, it was refreshing to watch the customers greet each other. As far as customers refilling customer's coffee cups, that's what you would expect in a small town restaurant. As I was getting ready to pay my tab, I noticed another lady who appeared to be another waitress getting ready to go to work. Again, the place was packed. It was Mother's Day. Chances are Carey's is a great place to eat. I'll go back. And I'll go back again small coffee...

Service was 5 star, nothing wrong with that! Been here before several times. Went tonight and we had gotten a bacon cheeseburger and the roast beef. I have never complained about bad food in my life. My son complained first bite he took of his cheeseburger (and this is a teen who eats anything) I took a bite of the roast beef and it was horrible, tasted like overly rotted meat couldn't even swallow it. Unfortunately I don't think we will be back for food anytime soon. Wonderful people...

This is a great place for BkF! We have our GWRRA meeting there every month! There is 14- 18 people with us for Bkf that is alot for her to do by herself ! But she is so friendly and funny! And has and does remember almost everyone Bkf before they start saying it!
