I have been going to this place for quite awhile and normally this is a 5 star restaurant for me. I usually order the same thing unless I have my children and then extra items maybe ordered. Friday night I ordered the special pizza, minus meatball and sweet peppers but add tomatoes. I ordered online because I know it gets really busy, I paid for it online so I could have the ease of walking in and grabbing my pizza and leaving. I ordered at 7:02 pm and computer kicked back report that pizza will be ready in 20-30 minutes, fine by me....I'll run a few errands on my way there and shoot to be there by 7:30. Arrived at 7:43 and this lady said she was the manager and it was her establishment. I was told my pizza wasn't ready, so I asked if I could get an ETA because you are 15 minutes beyond your projected time. I only need the ETA because I wanted to run to 7-11 a couple blocks away but if I was only looking at another 5 minutes or less, I would wait. Well this person told me this "I don't have to tell you anything, they are working as hard as they can and the pizza will be ready when it's ready"!! I said without a doubt they are working hard but who do you think you are talking to like that and the situation turned ugly! I was given a meat pizza (which was written on the box) with tomatoes thrown on the top and a whole lot of ugly attitude from this lady. I love Sunrise and always suggest to friends and family to grab their food from this place. I have never had an incident like this and I can't believe a person like this represent the restaurant. I had to give the pizza away because I didn't want to ride back up there and I don't eat excessive meat on my pizza like that! I only wanted the 5 ingredients I ordered on a thin crust, same pizza for the last 2 years since I relocated to this area. Very disappointing experience, but I still don't believe this is what Sunrise is about, but I do think they need to look at this person closely. I have dealt with a lot of ladies at the register and never someone acting so unprofessional. I don't know her name but she wasn't there Friday night, she has an accent and always hustling and extremely friendly and you can tell she cares about the customers. Clearly this person does not.
This is in rebuttal to the owners response, that's not true about the adult beverage and I only asked for an ETA since you were already 15 minutes beyond your projected time! I paid for my pizza online as I understand how busy it can be, it should not have been a problem for that "so called manager" to run to the back to see if the pizza was ready. Further, did you not read my review --- I was given a meat lovers instead of the pizza I ordered! As I stated, I've been in there many times before and have ordered and never received verbal abuse such as what she delivered and I only delivered the abuse back!!! Reading some of the other reviews, clearly there is a disconnect with customer service and respect from this person. Everyone that complain can't be lying, nor do we know each other. I appreciate you taking the time out to answer this post, but I'll give Sunrise a break and just avoid it!
If an apology was due, I would have been the first to deliver it, so whomever apologized on my behalf....had no business doing that!!! I stand by my actions and would not handle that situation any differently. I was in no hurry and I truly understood how busy it was, but you were already 15 minutes beyond your projected time. Only because I was sent a menu in the mail. I thought I'd try a few things. So I spend $59.00 of my hard earned money because I was starving and my children were hungry as well. Only to be let down by false food advertising. I got my husband to order over the phone for pick up because we called a few days before and was told that they don't deliver to our address so they referred us to the Portsmouth location which was further than this location. Meaning that they Dont deliver to my address either. I still decided to give them a chance tonight. By calling in for pick up. Around 7pm. We arrived around 8pm. Picked up, Paid and headed home. 5 minutes later. We get a call telling us that we had left a portion of our order that wasn't put in the bag. We turned around and picked up it. We headed home for the second time. To get there and started to eat our dinner for the night until.. We realized that we had paid for cheese stuffed bread sticks that were not in the bag. I called to speak with the manager because I was a little irritated by then that we went back for a second time and the order was still incorrect. She put me on hold three times just to tell me that the cheesy stuff crust bread sticks that I ordered and paid for was never made. She told me that if I Dont want to come out anymore tonight, I could pick them up tomorrow. No mam. I expected to eat them tonight that's why I ordered them tonight. I already came back for a second time so why were they never made in the first place?. I started eating the seafood Alfredo I was craving for because it sound good before I called and it was so bland and just nasty. I could had seasoned it myself and did a better job. Hell I could have just ate a #8 at Wendy's and it would've been 10 times better. Silly me for agreeing to eat here for the first time. I've had it at that point and decided that It wasnt worth 17.99 I was very disappointed in my order. And the service that was giving from this place. I went back up there to get a refund. To be told that they Dont give refunds. The chef, manager or owner, whoever he was told me that he could deliver my bread sticks to my address but he couldn't refund or remake my order. My question is.. How could you do a delivery now? when you couldn't before. Sir I need my money back I said. No refund he said. He said that he could refund my money from the bread stick that I never received but that's it. Then he preceded to give me the cash back with the tax not included. 6$ out of $59 that I spent with them I literally had to yell at him and his order taker to give me my $ back with tax. This place is horrible. The only okay thing. And i literally mean okay because it definitely wasnt worth the money. The baked chicken with stuffed crab. And the calzone. Only because we were very hungry and that was the best tasting items in the bag. But we didn't even finish it. We only ate a few bites. 3 from the stuffed chicken and 1 bite from calzone. Smh Thanks to the bs we had to go through. The whole order is still sitting on my table untouched. I'd feed it to my dog. Read moreWorst customer service I have ever experienced. I'm only giving 1 star because I have to. I took my 4 year old daughter to this establishment. We stand inside, no one even acknowledges you. As a waitresses walked by, I asked "if we are dining in, do we just seat ourselves?" She rudely replied "ma'am I will get to you when I can!" So we continue to stand there and the lady at the counter assists the lady in front of me, then asks if we will be dining in or doing take out. I advised we plan to dine in and she said "oh, honey you can sit anywhere!" I replied "oh okay, that was what I just asked." As I turn to walk away, the same rude waitress, BRANDY says to her coworker, "yeah, and that's what I said too.". I stopped and turned around and said "no, that is not what you said. You said very rudely that you would get me you when you got to me. I advised her rude remarks and attitude weren't necessary and we would be taking our business elsewhere. All she kept saying was "so'. I then realized I never got her name. So I called the store and was repeatedly hung up on. I finally get thru to the owner/manager who initially lied and said she had been out on deliveries, then she admitted she was the one at the counter. She refused to give me her name. (I had to call a nother location to get her name ans title. I am appalled that she ia the owner.) As she continued to scream that they were busy and she doesn't have time to hear the customer complaint she hung up on me. I did call back a few times and she would just pick up and hang up. She stayed on long enough for me to tell her that I would be writing a bad review and she proceeds to tell me that she will write a bad review about my company and then asked me to come meet her at the restaurant and so I can give the bad review to her face. Not sure why a business owner would handle a customer complaint this way. This place is a joke. The inside is outdated, it looks dirty, and the staff is just as disgusting. Save your money and spend it elsewhere that deserves it
.Editing to add - I never sat down at a table. You never asked me to leave. I patiently waited 10 minutes and was never acknowledged. I left due to your rude waitresses unnecessary remarks. Being understaffed doesn't mean you have the right to be rude and disrespectful to someone wanting to spend their money at your establishment.
