Temple Tattoo and Body Piercing Studio — Local services in Chesapeake

While the desire for snakebite piercings has been long held by me, I ended up at this shop on a whim, and was greeted by the piercer Josh, and a few of the other staff who were all happy, smiling and super friendly. The studio was super clean and all the tools used were sterile, he also went through and thoroughly sanitized my mouth/the area being pierced. Josh also made the whole procedure super clear, walked me through each step and allowed me to adjust the marks to precisely where I wanted my snakebites to be. Being on a whim, when I got a little dizzy post face stabbing, he allowed me to sit and recollect myself including getting me a glucose tablet to help my body deal. Frankly I should have had lunch first haha. I went back a few short weeks later to prematurely switch out the starter studs - I was biting on them real bad, they were hooking on my teeth like nobody's business. I was reassured by him that it was too soon, but I did not heed, he stepped the size down a little bit and warned me to watch the healing on them carefully. But I tell you, I can eat and talk without hooking myself like a trout, and they are healing up nicely. He gave me the knowledge I needed to ensure that my face doesn't get messed up. Had been researching area tattoo parlors for weeks trying to zero in on where to land for my custom tattoo in memory of my dad and grandparents as I had only one other experience getting a piece twenty years ago and as a older gal, baby boomer, I like to be sure when I’m doing something important. Decided to first try to support local Chesapeake business before automatically heading to Virginia Beach establishments. Luckily hit upon Temple Tattoo and Body Piercing this past Saturday and could not have been more thrilled with my experience. Was greeted upon entering welcoming space located in a Greenbrier business park by two guys who listened to my story as I showed them my custom design. They gave great feedback and suggestions from tweaking angle to location and I pulled the trigger. Eric was an amazing artist and extremely talented with his delivery and extremely thorough regarding aftercare. They stand behind their work and will freshening it up whenever it’s needed. Unbelievable in today’s world that you get such “AMAZING” treatment. No pressure up front and price was incredible. Check them out you will be glad you landed in...

Alright... I know this review should be for the studio itself and all that good stuff but lets be sincere, we are no longer in the 60's and 70's where we were limited to the tattoo artists near naval bases and resort-cities boardwalks, tattoo parlors are a dime-a-dozen now a days and the differential is nothing more than the artist's skills ALONG with customer service. This will define your experience. Nothing more, nothing less. Asepsis is not what sets you apart. It's what you should have from the get-go. This place is very clean, nice atmosphere, accept credit cards, has plenty of parking spaces, etc... the works. Now let's talk about what sets it apart: The artist Colleen B.! Skilled and creative professional with a can-do-attitude that will make you follow her wherever she will be tattooing.
