How does one bring you over easy eggs and then have you wait on your toast, then the toast is cold and the butter ( margarine) isn't even melted when they bring it.. ( why was I waiting on toast?)..and rationed coffee, having to ask for a warm up/second cup, what happened to someone floating around with a pot of coffee.... So the hostess ask " how was everything"... Did we tell the waitress about the toast? No..just no tip,you shouldn't have to point out the obvious or suggest she show up with a coffee pot....food is lacking too, portions getting smaller, charged for a cup of chili for the 2 tablespoons they put on the eggs...this isn't the first time, but it's definitely the last.. Per your response, I did give it another chance (attention to detail) it was in the review... We had the Zero on the other side of the restaurant last time,we had to corral the bus staff for coffee(that's your 1 cup policy)and steak sauce, she was busy blowing her soup coolers, must of been something important it was a lengthy conversation, then she decided to go visit another table and start over (never showed up with the pot).. Why do you bother to ask " how was everything"?... That gotcha "did you let the waitress know"..well hostess, I had to T-bone you for coffee, it's not like the place was packed/busy.. Here's another nugget for you,are you putting onions in your hash browns?... suppose to let him know too? Huh... instead of putting a tipping scale on the receipt, put a discount scale for the customer service, quality, training of staff,portion(1 cup policy) The customer can choose their discount (because you don't) "How was everything"? & "I'm sorry" Lip Service... People go out to eat because they are hungry and to enjoy..not to train your staff in the obvious.... "Hey is that toast coming"( with that CHEAP margarine on it) ...yeah I let the waitress know, did I need to tell her it needed to be fresh/ warm too? You don't piece meal a order,or do something ELSE when you...
Read moreKind of new to the area and every time we drove by round the clock they seemed to be busy. So, we decided to try it out for the first time. My wife tried the turkey dinner, it was not edible. Had like a film all over it. The broccoli she got was cold.. we let the server, who was great, that it was bad and my wife decided to switch to a BLT. I got the baked meatloaf, fries and broccoli. Again my broccoli was cold, there was nothing baked about the meatloaf. It was some kind of meat smothered in brown gravy- like they were trying to hide that it was not baked. I could not finish it. To be honest, I thought as soon as we already sent something back to the kitchen, some one would come around and ask what was wrong with it- because then I would have said something about my meal. But that didn’t happen. We asked for a box for the BLT- since I was done and was not going to finish my meal. The waitress brought the check, they did not charge me for the turkey dinner but did for the BLT. When I got to the cashier, they then asked how everything was. I tried to tell them the problems with the meatloaf and broccoli and he said nobody told him about that. So, paid my 44.00 plus a 20percent tip because the waitress seemed to be the only one that was apologetic. First time there, probably the last. I guess they are too busy to care when they put out a terrible meal. 2 stars only because of the waitress!!!...
Read moreMy review below along with Round the Clocks response which is their typical response that is: "We're sorry about your bad experience.and disappointing food. And we will pass it on to the kitchen: Please try us again" No effort on the part to financially incentivize you to try them again. (I.e. a coupon to make up for their failure).
Below is my review.
Waitress was friendly and proficient. The atmosphere is 70's dark wood, making it feel very dark and gloomy. The Walleye and Shrimp combo - Walleye was lightly breaded and deep fried. The fillets were were very thin, and dried out. Really very bad. If it was truly Walleye, it was the worst I've ever had. Fried butterflied shrimp. Way too much breading covering a very thin piece of shrimp. Tartar sauce was miracle whip with a very few shreds of relish. Shrimp sauce was good. The baked potato was the best part of the meal. The vegetable of the day was green beans. Evidently it was sitting in a water all day. Very mushy, not edible. Buns were warm and good. Unfortunately, they were ruined since they were served with margarine not butter. The Fried cod dinner was ok not great. Fair deep fried cod strips. Poor version of Manhattan clam chowder. All in all very disappointing meals. Not going back if this is a representation of the quality of the rest...
