Jimmy's Hilltop Ice Cream and Eatery — Restaurant in Chestnuthill Township

Great food, wide selection of ice cream and very friendly staff. We got a cheese steak, grilled cheese, blt and an order of chicken tenders. Everything was amazing, my older son ate everything we gabe him with no complaints at all ( he was even asking for more and leaning into the food to get it quicker), this is great because he has some texture issues and other food related problems. Wish we had taken pictures of the food so you can see the size of everything, we got basket orders which is adding a large drink and fries to the sandwiches. We also got ice cream. I got a cannoli sundae which is a layer of cannoli filling on bottom, soft serve vanilla ice cream in the middle and more cannoli filling on top and garnished with 3 cannoli's inserted in the top and hot fudge, whip cream and a cherry. Arianna got a banana split and it was pretty big. We got the boys a kids size vanilla soft serve and gave them some of ours as well. It was pretty busy with 3 windows taking orders and many people in line but, we made it to order really fast and got our food very quickly, we had just sat down and were getting the boys a drink when they called our order up at the window. This isn't the hilltop of yesterday! They said they were bringing back the old hilltop but today's version is very lackluster!

We wanted to go over for a evening outside since it was nice and have a bite to eat. $40 for a hot dog with chili a cheeseburger and a chicken finger meal and three sodas. The food was served to us in styrofoam containers, there is no salt pepper ketchup napkins or condiments accessible outside anymore. After they scream your name out the window they hand you a bag and close the side window. When we went back up and asked for honey mustard ketchup salt and pepper I had to stand at the side window waiting forever well my food got cold to ask for simple condiments. My first experience at Jimmy’s was exceptional, the food and ice cream were great!! Even got a dog biscuit in my puppy’s ice cream!! However things changed on our next two visits! On both occasions I ordered a sundae!! To call what I received a sundae is beyond disgusting! My sundae consisted of black raspberry ice cream a dollop of whipped cream and a cherry!! Umm sorry buddy but that’s not a sundae! On the next visit my boyfriend ordered a hot fudge sundae which we’re pretty sure they forgot the hot fudge as there was barely any hot fudge (again) to pay over $5 for a sundae and not get a sundae is insane! Maybe it was the fact that the employees weren’t trained on exactly how to make a sundae if that’s the case May I suggest some training!!! Cmon Jimmy you can do better!!!
