Mariscos La Costa Mexicana Seafood is bigger than most. Place was all but deserted at around 1:15 PM, and two nice ladies were attending the front. Food: 2 Tostadas Ceviche from the lunch menu. Tostadas were not covered, only a mound in the center. Fish only. Initially the person who order was not impressed. A few comments about quality, but eventually finished both leaving both crispy tortillas untouched, which I personally wondered why they were ordered in the first place. 3 Stars. Ceviche Mixto, from the regular menu, $12.99. One tostada, more variety of seafood including octopus. Overly expensive for what arrived and not necessarily great. 3 Stars. On the positive side Tortillas were brought and salsa. Salsa perhaps the best I’ve come across so far. Server brought an additional one, which in my book I did appreciate it. Like the old days standard. 4+ Stars. Service was very nice. 4+ Stars! Water tasted fine. Prices throughout the menu steep, and hard to tell without ordering how good, let’s say, would the $26+ seafood soup taste. Total: $26+ plus fair gratuity. 3.5 Stars.

The return of the dummy: 4-29 I decided to try this eatery again, both dishes ordered were fish Tilapia. One grilled, one with garlic? Each $17.99, which considering one was rejected and trashed, it was a horrendous deal. When a fish fillet taste gummy, is either the quality of said fish, or who knows what. This place lacks the skills to pay the bills, while service might be better, the most important aspect is the food preparation, and sadly for a dish to be tossed is a bad investment. Even their salsa seemed too watery. To stop here again would be detrimental to my wallet. Something keeps telling me the food they cook for themselves is probably a lot better. This second visit sealed the...

First of all, I would like to say I have never left a bad review on a restaurant in my life mind you I have been in the industry for over 25 years managing bars and restaurants. I didn’t get her name but the manager with shoulder length curly hair was the rudest person I’ve ever met in my life. I ordered a side of rice and beans, and it said it came with two complementary bags of chips one for each then I said I wanted to buy a large bag of chips when my order came out there was one small bag of chips in the bag. They then proceeded to tell me that was the large bag that I ordered which they charged me $6.25 for then I said well where is my two complementary Sides of chips the “Manager” went in the bag and took out one of my salsas because her waitress gave me two instead of one took that back then proceeded to argue with me and give the worst customer service I have ever endured verbally and professionally, then proceeded to go in the back and get me one tiny bag of chips and said my order only came with one then I get home and the beans are spilled all out in the bag an absolute mess. I wish there was a ZERO star button!! Mind you myself and my family have gave them a lot of business we always buy large trays of dishes, rice, and beans, etc. for our family parties/gatherings so great job lady you just lost money for your business (over a small bag of chips and a 3 ounce side of salsa) not a very smart business move, especially when you only have about 2 to 5 tables sat at majority times of the day, including lunch and...

I ordered a carnitas burrito, with no extras and it totaled $10 and some change. I was excited because of the positive rating on Google but what I got was less than exciting. The burrito was very small the sour cream and guacamole that was supposed to be inside was instead served on the side. as you can see in the pic, my first bite was extremely unpleasant. There was what I can best describe as a wooden branch about 2.5 inches long inside my burrito. It was too hard to be a tomato vine - hard enough to hurt my mouth when I bit into it. After thoroughly checking the rest of the burrito I decided to continue eating. The tortilla was really good, however the only other contents were rice (I ordered no beans) meat and a few pieces of tomato. The carnitas was extremely salty and nothing else had any flavor. I asked for hot salsa, which might have saved the meal in terms of flavor, but none was given. I've had $5 taco truck burritos that were 10 times better. The price matched with the quality of the product means I'll likely not try this restaurant again. If you do, beware of foreign objects and make sure you get what you asked...

This place is amazing, don't let anyone tell you different. Living in California we eat alot of Mexican food which makes me not picky but rather critical of the flavors, salsa, and fresh taste in veggies. This place hits all the marks. Amazing fresh salsa, the red sauce on the wet burrito was exceptional. My wife's green spauce on her enchiladas were also bomb. Burrito was full on small child sized. And I can't forget the chips, made fresh daily and have a flavor that is addictive. Much like Casa Sanchez before they fell off. We went up for a weekend at Almanor, stopped on the way up and had to hit it on the way back. I hear you have to try the Lobster here, it's flown in fresh! I will be back.
