Like my Rite Aid review, I have mixed feelings about this D&D.
The original D&D used to be near McDonald's, and the majority of the staff at that-D&D were similar to the McDonald's staff in regards to professionalism, competence, and courteousy (please refer to my McDonald's on Meadow Street, Chicopee review). When the D&D moved to the lot near Rite Aid, I was relieved because I thought that the staff and management would be replaced with new blood, and the new people would take the place more seriously. I was wrong. Most of the staff transferred to that location, and I personally boycotted it for about 3 months until my parents forced me to go back (to get them their food).
Presently, the newer facility looks great, though the bathrooms can be untidy. The food is of average D&D quality, and my orders are rarely incorrect. The location is conveniently located at a point where they are in a "T" for getting on the highway at each angle, but it is a little-ways off from the highway entrances, so please keep that in mind if you are making a pit-stop.
The mixed feeling factor I have is that the staff always seems tense whenever I go in there. For example, if a mess-up happens, you can literally feel it in the air, and when someone snaps, everyone goes silent. The other issue is that there are still people from the old D&D there, and that is very disheartening (to me) to still see them still there. If you use the drive thru, it can be very dangerous pulling out, into the parking lot, because of how it...
Read moreOn my way to work, went to the drive-thru to order one single coffee. I sat at the drive-thru speaker for a total of five whole minutes being patient and checking emails on my phone while I waited. Once I realized how long I had been sitting there I spoke to the speaker and said.. hello? Nobody answered. I then thought that maybe their drive-thru Communications were possibly malfunctioning, so I drove around to the window and saw one single car driving away from the drive-up window. I pulled up to the window, and had the following exchange:
Me: Oh, hi. Is your drive thru speaker not working or something? Employee (f): .... no, it's working. Me: Huh. Ok, because I was sitting there for five minutes, I tried talking into the speaker and nobody was answering so I thought maybe it was broken. Can I just place my order here, now? Employee (f): No. You have to drive back around.
1.) The employees seem to be so busy with the ONE SINGLE drive thru order that they can't take another order in five minutes, and 2.) The idiocy that I would need to DRIVE BACK AROUND (at this point, two additional cars had pulled up behind me at the speaker, which would then put me behind them) to place a SINGLE DRINK ORDER is not only ridiculous, but terrible customer service.
No thanks. Went to McDonald's down the street for a $0.99 iced coffee. Happy with my decision.
Sucks that common sense and customer service is gone nowadays, but it doesn't mean I need to...
Read moreHad a really weird experience yesterday with (2?) ghetto girls unless it was 1 person.
My boyfriend was reading off an order and got confused about if there was supposed to be light ice. She repeated the order fine and was confirming the ice with him but irritated, and I chose to clarify bc I was the driver and maybe they weren’t hearing each other. Just real nice said “We just need regular ice, thank you”. Maybe she thought I was being sarcastic?
I was hit in the face with so much attitude it was strange. “That’s what I said MA’AM.” No aggressive no confrontation from me but she was so mad?? I looked at my boyfriend and he was about to go off. We both are surprised and kinda confused. She’s still on the headset saying “Huh? What??” very pointed and loud. So we could see now she was just trying to be weird and immature
Then I leave because there’s no good coffee to come out of this. As I left she yelled out the window (to her coworkers, but for me to hear) “LOOK LOOK, THEY ARE LEAVING!”.
Vibes are off. Maybe screen crew members better next time. Adult world doesn’t do well with high school ghetto. This is clearly the only communication skills your staff had available to use...
