I decided to treat myself to a special drink and ordered a soy latte. Paid .75 extra for it. And one dollar for an extra shot of espresso. ( I've been drinking soymilk for decades.) I took one sip and asked if they were sure it was soy latte. They said yes, it is soy. A customer ordered a coffee drink right after me.(they do not write names or any special needs on the drink cup...doing this would avoid giving people something that they are allergic to or intolerant of)) I am pretty certain the other customer got my soy drink. After having a dairy taste in my mouth after drinking some, I was sure that it was dairy and that a mistake had been made. I took the drink back and told them the drink has a terrible aftertaste. They swore it was soy and that it was sweetened soymilk and that their soy comes from different suppliers and offered to make me another one. I said no.They returned my money. I told them that they could keep the tip. It was a bad experience for me. Pre Covid, I have dined at the Cafe with large groups of people. Because of what happened today, (an hour after this I still have a bad dairy taste in my mouth and an upset stomach) I doubt that I will ever step foot in the...

I went in with my grandma and our order was taken quickly. We got our drinks and and watched two tables that came in after us get their food before us. When it came out the Twisted Chicken was literally just two pulled Chicken sliders. The coffee was alright for $6. The cheesecake was supposed to be cinnamon roll and was dolled up like you'd expect it to be, but I found it to taste much more like a New York style cheesecake with a bit of cinnamon roll inside of it. It will definitely be a while before I try this place again, personally I am not a fan of being serviced out of order.

Edit: For around $50 the meal was not worth the value. There was not much of a chance to voice disapproval as well as the waiters didn't ask. Half of the Reuben that my grandmother ordered was bigger than the two chicken sliders that was served for $12. Amazing grilled cheese and tomato soup on a rainy day. Soup is AMAZING and has such a unique balance of flavors and is better than anything I’ve had before. Sammich is gooey with cheese and fresh basil and loaded with pesto and tomatoes that are delish (almost asked to hold the tomatoes because anymore, they’re not flavorful and just make a sandwhich wet)

Absolute quality, and care went into this simple lunch. Thanks a bunch, so look forward to come back!

Also ⭐️ for the Austin flair. It was my home for a decade and so cool to see it represented in my new hometown.

Seriously flippin damn awesome. Even had a nice chat with a few customers while waiting on my Togo order. I got a delish fast lunch and made new friends today.
