Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Chincoteague

Very slow even when only two vehicles. Very slow answering after I push ordering button. Pushed button patientmy about four times. Unreasonable wait time. Car hop walks away with my Change without saying anything. I had to get out of my car after waiting an waiting to ask for my change. About fifteen dollars. That's all I had left till payday an was scared the whole time that I wasn't getting it back or if they even realized what they were doing. After telling them that the ordering menu was broken on another occasion, a whole week went by an still they didn't put a sign on it saying broken. An I'll b Damn if I didn't get the same dame menu the next time causing me to loose my lunch time waiting for help. Finaly I got out an walked over to the next one an pushed button an it worked an instead of asking me what I wanted to order she said oh just find another spot killing more of my time so after all that an telling them NO mustard..... my dubble cheese burger had MUSTARD.!!! I tell you not one of them employees practices carhop rules( manners)and every time no napkins..they don't offer. They Walk off with the money. ..no telling you thank you.... do u need anything else...I will b right back with your change. Or anything...just a bunch of kids that either hasn't been taught or they didn't have a trainer or they don't care. When people are on lunch break or after work etc or anytime as far as that matter,.,they come to relax an b served not stressed by inadequate service. .politeness an courteous goes a long way. I have always enjoyed eating at Sonic, but this was by far the WORST experience I have ever had. One star is to much for this location.

1. It looked like it was closed because all of the lights were pretty much turned off including the all but one menu board.

2. When I ordered chili cheese dog and tots they told me they were out of chili, on labor weekend?!?!

3. When we ordered a small milk shake I was told the ice cream machine was down, over labor day weekend?!?!?

4. When we received our food the hot dogs were not even lukewarm and the cheese on the dogs were literally a few pieces of American cheese and thrown on a microwave to "try" to melt the cheese. The sweet strawberry tea we ordered was literally a sweet tea with a few pieces of strawberries thrown in. The fries were literally rock hard and room temperature like they were left over from earlier in the day. The soda was flat and tasted disgusting.

5. The not care attitude by the "workers" made me change from using my card to cash because I had a gut feeling my card information may fall into the wrong hands if I used it there with them.

6. Didn't even get everything I ordered and didn't get a receipt to prove what was ordered,

Honestly, I wish I went with my first gut feeling and just drove off leaving the "trash" they called food there rather than paying money for what I stomached and tried to eat after all. Will NEVER visit this location...

Normally the food comes tasting ok, and your order is right. However, especially lately, you could get in and out of a sit down type of restaurant before even getting your order at this Sonic. Tonight, my family wanted their chilli cheese dogs, so I stopped after work and ordered ten, two for each of us. Twenty minutes to get ten hotdogs, there's no way it takes twenty minutes to fix that many. Also, last week, my wife stopped during happy hour for a drink, just her. Again almost twenty minutes only for one drink. Nothing about this Sonic is fast food.

Had to drop some stars off my review. Tonight was the third time I have tried to order a special that I received a text about, that was also listed online, only to have the person behind the intercom refuse to honor the deal. After informing them about the text and the website, they just say "We don't do that".

I might be as bad as this Sonic since I keep returning. But there's not much in this area. Today they ran out of buns at 2:30.....let that sink in. Whoever owns this franchise needs to hire a...
