Fruteria y Neveria Delicia de Reyes — Restaurant in Chowchilla

I recently placed a phone order for mini pancakes with vanilla ice cream. Upon arriving home, I noticed the ice cream was missing, prompting me to call and notify the staff. Unfortunately, the girl who answered the phone responded rudely, saying 'Yes I know' without offering an apology. I expressed my inconvenience, to which she replied 'yeah thats ok', demonstrating a lack of consideration. I was taken aback by her disrespect and poor customer service. Upon returning for the ice cream, I was informed that Itzel was the girl who had answered my call. I would like to commend the young man who demonstrated great customer service and offered sincere apologies, which was all I was seeking. I am a proud supporter of small businesses and would like to recommend that the owner train their staff to be more considerate of their customers time and needs. We all make mistakes and it's ok, but what's not ok is when you disrespect those who are supportive of your business.

This is the best ice cream spot yet to come to Chowchilla, and really one of the best I’ve ever been to. They have a large variety of flavors and most importantly, everything is made in-house. All the traditional flavors and styles are available, with the addition of Hispanic sweets and a good variety of popsicles.

I’ve been here maybe 3 times now with my family and we’ve tried a variety of items they offer. Here are some of the things worth highlighting: The ice cream is very rich and flavorful They incorporate fresh fruit in a lot of the popsicles and ice cream Portions are generous, and prices reasonable It’s a very clean store (I can’t overstate how much I appreciate this) Staff is very kind and they offer samples of anything you’d like to try

Hopefully they can manage to be successful and stick around. Chowchilla has a terrible habit of killing local businesses and several ice cream shops have come and gone over the years, but none as nice as this one. I love this place! I was craving something cold and sweet, did a quick Google search and found Delicia De Reyes. Stopping upon this place was fate. Not only was the family who owns this so impossibly nice and helpful (they let me sample all the flavors I had never tried before!) but their icy desserts were so good (they hand make almost everything including the ice cream) that after I finished my Agua Con Crema I told my other half I wanted to go back and hug them, lol.
