This new addition to the Floyd lineup of places to sit, relax, drink a beer and talk to friends is an absolute gem. I've been visiting here since they opened in April. The proprietors are wonderful people--very friendly, and no matter how busy they are they always have time for a quick chat. The beers definitely hew to a more British Isles style; if you're a fan of hops, you might be a little disappointed. However, if you like the more malt-oriented authentic pub style of beer, you'll love this place. (My dad spent four years in England as a young man and I can't wait to bring him here to visit.)
The outside has several picnic tables, a shaded back porch, two firepits and a beanbag game. The interior is lovely and has a good mixture of homey-ness and a chic coffeehouse feel. I cannot recommend this place highly enough if you like beer and are in need of a good...
Read moreWe ate here Saturday July 21st, 2018. We made a special trip in to go to this brewery, checking the website for the hours but it was not open. We went and ate lunch somewhere else in Floyd and hung around town until it finally was opened several hours later (around 4pm). The beer was good, but there was not really food on the menu, so those of us who waited to eat here were pretty disappointed. There was no table service, just a long line to wait in to get the beer. The atmosphere was good with a nice homey feel, and the people were friendly. I have been back a couple of times, but the place was closed after 1pm on a Saturday, and apparently still doesn't open consistently to their hours posted on Trip Advisor/Facebook (1pm-10pm). I've heard they have food trucks sometimes, so this should solve issues with the lack of food items...
Read moreI went last Friday to hear music and check out the place. The front deck has no shade and faces route 8 so can be noisy. The interior decor is great! A combination of antique furniture and old paintings and photos and new wood tables. A back outdoor patio has a few shaded tables and some picnic tables and corn hole game area. There's a beautiful wood bar top along the back wall with about 6 wood stools and a roof for shade. There's a nice breeze to keep cool. The back area is where the musician set up. It was pleasant back there and the solo musician was nice to listen to.. I'm not into bitter beers but found one that I enjoyed. They have beer flights so you can taste a variety. Will definitely go back for more. It would be nice if they had more shaded seating. Update: I've noticed that they have added...
