My visit to Dude's Drive-In today left me with mixed feelings. On one hand, the food itself – two hot dogs with just ketchup, an order of fries, and a drink – was quite tasty. The flavors were there, and the meal was prepared well. However, the cost of nearly $14 for what I received was astonishing and frankly, disappointing.
At this price point, I expected an exceptional dining experience or at least something that felt like a good value. Unfortunately, Dude's Drive-In falls short in this critical aspect. Value for money is key in dining, and when the balance tips too far towards expense without a discernible reason, it's hard to justify a return visit or recommend it to others.
As much as I wanted to love my experience and support Dude's Drive-In, I find it difficult to do so solely based on the disproportionate cost of the meal. Therefore, I cannot foresee myself returning or encouraging others to visit, unless there are changes in the pricing strategy that better reflect the value of the offerings. It's a 2-star rating from me – good food, but not at a price that...
Read moreI wasn't very impressed overall. First time customer, rolled up for a quick lunch during the work day. I bought a bacon cheeseburger, a side of fries, and a drink. The food was good, and it was out quickly, but the price felt insane for what I got. My total came to $18.10 for the items I listed. I was confused and wanted a breakdown on the math, and it turns out that the upcharge to add bacon was $4.35. I was not made aware of the charge being quite so steep, minding that I said I hadn't been there before.
I'm not really one to compare drive-in's to corporate chains, but I feel obligated to point out that I could've gone to red robin down the road, gotten a bacon cheeseburger and bottomless fries and a drink and still be multiple dollars short of $18.10. In short, don't order bacon I guess. Or at least know that each slice of bacon unironically costs $1.45 as per the current menu. I would've at least appreciated being informed that adding bacon would nearly double the cost of my burger. I did check the menu on the website before ordering, but the only menu linked...
Read moreThe food is good and all, but when ever I go there I feel like I'm at a Hooters restaurant. The girls or girl comes up to the car with her cleavage out which makes me my wife and kids feel very uncomfortable. I thought that this place is Christian based. If that's what you have to do to make money and build relationships with the town. Then I don't want any part of it. Women should have more respect for not only themselves but for others also. Summer is just around the corner and I am nervous to go and eat somewhere where I have to experience, and endure half naked women in skimpy shirts and shorts and go home to an argument. If they are that insecure that they have to dress like that to get attention to make them feel good about themselves then I believe they should work elsewhere. I have done my best trying to be respectful and not mention any names, but they know who they are. I know when I grew up Christian based definitely did not mean having your body out there for the...
