Someone get Gordon Ramsay to help these people out, please.
I cannot in good conscience recommend anyone order food from here. All of the sides are straight out of 99 cent cans you can buy at the grocery store. I ordered the pork rib tips, rice and beans, candied yams, and the vegetable medley and all of it was exceptionally disappointing.
The pork ribs were disappointing because they were smothered in a horribly sweet BBQ sauce and yet the meat still was dry and difficult to chew and swallow. There were a few bites that were tender and those few that were, were good!
All of the sides were awful, though, is the main reason I'd recommend anyone stay away from wasting money here. Any restaurant that had the audacity to serve their customers 99 cent canned food I could buy at a grocery store (and doesn't even attempt to disguise it or dolly it up) is one I will not be returning to.
The vegetable medley is 100% straight out of can - cubed carrots, corn kernels, peas, and cheap green bean cuts. The candied yams were horrid, like someone dumped a can of cheap sweetened yams out, wiped off a majority of the syrup, and then rolled them around in cinnamon. I threw them away because all they tasted of was cinnamon. As for the rice and beans, I've had steamed rice that's more flavorful. The rice and beans didn't have any seasoning or salt added - someone dumped them probably out of a 90 second microwave packet straight into the container and sold them to me. They had no flavor at all and were subsequently thrown away.
I'm not a picky eater but I will not eat food that someone bought from a grocery store, plopped into some containers with zero effort and then had the audacity to sell off their menu. It's disrespectful to customers, disrespectful to staff (who, if they have any passion to cook, probably hate this menu), and disrespectful to the owner and whoever manages the place. Have some respect for your...
Read moreI seen this place on door dash and I was excited to try this place because it had a lot of the items I liked! When I tell you this was one of the worst restaurants I’ve ever eaten at it was bad!!!I ordered collards, green beans, cabbage, rib tips, catfish dinner, carrot and strawberry cake ,Mac and cheese and French fries! The collard greens were flavorless and had grit in them, the cabbage was greasy and old tasting, the rib tips were mush and resemble dog meat, the catfish was so fishy and old tasting I can barely get the taste and smell out of my head! The green beans were ice cold and tasted like someone dumped a bucket of salt in them and the Mac cheese tasted sour and had a gummy flour texture to the cheese! The carrot cake was like a rock hard hockey puck, and the strawberry cake tasted like a sugar free scone! The only thing I was able to eat were the French fries!None of there food is made too order everything is pre cooked days ahead!I can’t believe this place is still open!Thank god for door dash because I was able to get a full refund! All the items came up to 38 dollars!I should’ve known something was wrong because as soon as we put in the order it was going out to our dasher after 20 minutes! This place needs to be in the Guinness world records for the worst food on door dash!In the great words of Daym Drops I’m going to give...
Read moreTerrible!! I really hate to write this review. As someone else stated the people there are sweet, however I don’t want anyone to be as disappointed as I was once I received my food. What you see pictured is jerk chicken with white rice and cabbage for $15 and the next picture is oxtails with Mac & greens for $19. I had the oxtails and my husband had the jerk chicken. Too much money with not enough food. It’s literally 3 pieces of oxtails pictured and one piece of jerk chicken. The oxtails were delicious they had a beef stew taste not the Jamaican taste one may be use to. The mac and cheese was absolutely disgusting and the greens were glory greens from the can. My husband said the jerk chicken was extremely dry and the cabbage was blah. I also had a side of candied yams and vegetable medley. The yams were good and the vegetable medley were noticeably from a frozen bag. Not to mention as we were walking out A ROACH WAS CRAWLING ON THE TABLE!!!!!! I know I’m asking myself why did I eat the food as well! We spent the whole time examining each bite and couldn’t even finish it. I honestly feel as if this place shouldn’t be in business. The food in the background is me ending up going to yummi express in roselawn to get...
